A Glance of the life of Cael Lucian (Part 4)
—Cael Lucian
"Right let's continue now shall we." With a calm smile Kiana, the Pillar of Conclusion said as everyone was seated, It was ended peacefully by the way—Trust me. Don't ask questions.
"Right, let's continue—"
—The Past.
So in the end, past me made a simple choice, which was to reveal myself to 'me' after seeing how 'I' treat my 'wifes'. Of course if 'I' was a bad person. I wouldn't hesitate to kill me myself.
10.00AM
"I" had finally woke up, still looking a little groggy, and as soon as 'I' got up by some miracle all 7 of my 'wifes' had woken up. Right let me describe them in detail now, the first one the elf, she looked young, well I mean Elves in fantasy races always look young even when their 300+ years old
Blonde hair, green eyes and a petite frame, wearing one of those white night dresses that girls use.
"Honey~ what are we eating todayyy~" The elf girl went as "I" only gave a sigh before going "Let's see. " "I" got up before opening the door and heading to the kitchen. Of course I followed suit, still invisible.
Step Step Step
It didn't take long for "Me" to reach the kitchen, and the first thing "I" whipped up was—Sizzle
Omelletes
That's right, just your scrambled omelettes, they didn't look professional, they were even slightly burned actually yet—Everybody was eating them happily.
"Honey~ the omellete's really tasty but~"
"yes yes I know, go on."
"Well then~ Excuse me—"
Bite
Slurrrpppppppppppp
It was the vampire who wore what looked like a typical nun outfit. Dang to think "I" had such fetishes is crazy…
"It's always really goodddd" she said while showing such a seductive looking pose with a nun outfit? I didn't know what else I needed to say, on the other hand…
"Master~ I want to sniff you~" The cat beastwomen said, her tail swinging back and forth, with a sigh "I" only nodded as she sniffed "me" all around.
"HeH—You truly are an amazing Demon King." The demon girl said with a proud grin.
"He is not a Demon King? He is destined for heaven." The angel girl said in response, her eyes looking slightly annoyed
"Demon king."
"Heaven"
"Demon king."
"Heaven"
"Demon king."
"Heaven"
"Demon king."
"Heaven"
…
What the fuck?
—The Present
"What sort of crazy Harem story do u even have???" Kiana muttered with shock, her face a mix of genuine amazement and confusion
Ahem
Of course Klein faking a cough as if telling Kiana, don't be rude now.
"Whoops~ hehe—my bad my bad" she said before saying "My bad Ezron, continue continue"
—The Past
"Heaven"
"Demon king."
"Heaven"
"Demon king."
"Heaven"
This little argument has been going well over 1 hour. That's right 1 hour, in the end "I" only gave a small sigh before standing up and leaving the angel and the demon to argue as they usually do.
"Don't forget to take a shower you two." He said before leaving, the other 5 also followed suit.
"So~ what're we doing today?" the human girl said, she had short hair and looked quite petite as well… Am I one of those 'P's? ughh… I feel sick I wanna throw up… No Remember Ezron. REMEMBER YOUR PURPOSE. TO CHECK IF "HE" IS WORTHY
"Shall we go for a quick morning bath now~?" the mermaid said with a smile, though she had no tail, the scales that appeared slightly in her face and arms makes it obvious she must at least be some sort of aquatic creature.
"Alright" "I" answered as they went on to the bathroom. It was a huge space, like one of those shared bath houses you see, the interior itself looked like it was made of wood, with green vegetations everywhere that seemed to form mesmerizing patterns.
"Why don't you let me scrub you back~" The human girl said, she was perhaps the only one that at least looked adult like in human standards, after all at the time I was still not self aware on how old I've become.
Sigh
"Alright" AND YOU ACCEPTED?? WHY ME WHY? WHAT SORT OF DEGENERATE HAVE I BECOME? No. Maybe it's just my misunderstanding… Yeah. Maybe I'm overreacting…
Step Step
"Oh-? have the two of you finish your fight?" the angel and devil girls had returned once more, right—I didn't describe them before whoops I forgot hehe. The Devil girl, she has 2 horns on her head, her melon was quite… big, so was her peach.
With a wolf cut and black hair dyed with streaks of red, red glowing pupils, wearing a rather figure revealing cloth… On the other hand, the angel girl had blonde hair too albeit on a far lighten tone compared to the elf girl, her eyes blue with imaginary looking wings and a halo.
"Join us would you~?" The mermaid girl said, her legs were gone replacing it a huge fish tail, wearing a modern looking bikini covering her chest, the other girls were wrapped with a towel well except the…
"Hngh…. I hate bathing…" The cat beast man muttered in annoyance, her hair and tail were grey in color.
Huh reminds me of that Chainsmoker Cat Manga's main character. Yani Neko was it?
…
—Cael Lucian, The Present
"…" Ezron was looking at me annoyed, whoops I accidentally interrupted his story again.
"Continue." Klein Moretti said, as Ezron's eyes seemed to regain it's sparkle as he continued his tale once more.
—The Past
"Meow…." "I" was bathing the cat beastman while the other girls all seemed to give them both some space as they were talking about something, using magic I made sure I could hear their conversations.
"What do you think about Master's new film?" the demon girl said, lazily running her fingers through the water.
"The one with the dragon protagonist?" The elf tilted her head. "It's ambitious. The special effects budget alone could feed a small country."
"That's what I said!" The human girl splashed slightly in excitement. "And he just looked at me with that face—you know the one—and said 'art doesn't calculate cost.'"
"Art doesn't calculate cost," the vampire repeated in a mocking, deeply fond impression of Ezron's voice. "He says that, and then he skips meals for three days straight because he forgets to eat while editing."
"Someone should remind him," the mermaid said quietly.
"We all remind him," the angel replied. "He nods, he agrees, he promises to do better. And then he does it again."
"Stubborn," the demon said.
"Devoted," the angel corrected. They exchanged a look that was less hostile than their earlier argument—like some sort of mutual understanding The vampire stretched, her nun's habit discarded for a simple towel.
"I caught him sleeping at his desk again last night. The fifth time this month. I had to carry him to bed."
"Again?" The elf frowned. "He promised after the last premiere that he'd hire an assistant."
"He did hire an assistant," the human girl said. "She quit after two weeks. Said she couldn't keep up with his hours."
"Or his standards," the demon added with a smirk.
"Or his complete inability to delegate anything he considers 'important,'" the angel finished. Many sighs rippled through the bath. It was the sigh of people who had tried, repeatedly, to take care of someone who refused to be taken care of
The conversation then went silent for a solid 5 minutes, then the human girl started it once more
"How long do you think we can stay?" The question hung in the air like steam.
"As long as we need to," the elf girl said firmly. "He said so."
"He says a lot of things," the demon repeated, but this time there was no mockery in it. Just something tired. Something old.
"He means them," the angel said again. "He always means them."
"When I first came here," the vampire said slowly, staring at her own reflection in the water, "I asked him what he wanted in return. For the room. The food. The protection. I asked him three times. I was—I was ready to negotiate. I thought I knew how these things worked."
"You weren't the only one. I also thought the same." the elf girl continued.
"Humans. Well most humans are a little well you know…" The angel girl said, her halo seemed to dim slightly as she looked at "me" and the human girl. "I won't say much. I know how my species are. Most are quite…"
"Yeah…"
I asked him what he wanted in return. For the room. The food. The protection. I asked him three times. I was—I was ready to negotiate. I thought I knew how these things worked
The words said by the vampire girl had somehow triggered something in me, it reminded me of the past.
EVERYBODY EZRON LIKES MOVIE HE'S SUCH A GIRL
The words coming from that bully in the past. The way these girls said about what "I" wanted in return. to think. To think….
"To think this is how I become in the future. I'm disappointed in you 'me'." I willed for the illusion of my invisibility to wear off, almost instantly the beastmen angel devil and elf turned around eyes instantly alert. But it did not matter.
"Sleep." My words echoed with authority as I created illusions so powerful the everyone but the elf and angel instantly fell asleep, it was not that I was too weak to instantly put them to sleep, but it felt right at that moment. I didn't know why.
Yet. As I look at what should've been the powerless me, he looked at me with a gaze of understanding "I" muttered "Ah. I get it now." He had this look of peace.
"You're me," the ordinary Ezron said quietly. "From another timeline. Another possibility. You're the version of me who—" He paused, his eyes searching my face. "You're the one who held it together, aren't you? When everything broke. You're the reason the world still exists."
"How do you know that?" My voice only cracked slightly
"I dreamed about you. For years. Ever since the Change." He stepped closer, unafraid of the blade I summoned still shimmering in my hand. "I dreamed about a man with my face, holding the branches of a tree so vast it stretched across the sky. "
"I dreamed he was tired. So tired. And alone. And I'd wake up and think—" His voice cracked. "I'd think, that should be me. That burden should be mine." "So you're here to take my place aren't you?"
…
"Do it." "I" said with certainty accepting what would've been the end of his life, I thought to myself at the time, I was at least self aware of the flaws I had. Thus without hesitation as I was about to swing that blade.
"NO." The words coming from were not one I expected
