The east segment keeper pulled her release twice.
The first pull removed her route mark. The second should have separated the wall from the Woman's shelter. The six-armed body's gray hand held both sides together after authority ended.
"Mark withdrawn," the keeper said. "Wall remains physical."
The Woman repeated the distinction to the thirty-nine people moving away from the segment. Her current host sat in a wheeled kitchen chair with two residents supporting her shoulders. Blood had dried beneath the covered eye. The two numb fingers on her working hand stayed bound together.
The thirty-nine had entered from the dry well settlement east of Tera. They had lived in the shelter long enough to mark cooking turns on one wall and public-exit choices on another. Nine retained street rooms outside. Seven had object lines to families who stayed behind. None of those records made one evacuation list.
