Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: The Glitch King's Manifesto

The dust of the shattered dome had not yet settled when Caelum walked to the edge of the royal balcony. Below him, the Golden City of Aurum was in chaos. People were staring at their hands, at their flickering status windows, and at the sky that was no longer a solid blue but a cascading waterfall of green binary code.

"The era of the 'Fixed Level' is dead!" Caelum's voice didn't just carry through the air; it vibrated through the very system itself, appearing as a global notification in every citizen's vision.

Beside him, King Magnus was a pathetic sight. Once a Level 100 god-king, he was now a glitching mess of pixels, his crown lying forgotten in the dirt.

"You've opened the gates of hell," Magnus wheezed, his eyes staring at the sky. "The Central Server... it doesn't tolerate errors. It will send the Executors."

Caelum didn't even look back. "Let them come. I've spent my life being an error. Now, I'm the one who decides what's a mistake and what's a feature."

[SYSTEM ANNOUNCEMENT: GLOBAL_REBOOT_COMPLETED]

[NEW WORLD RULE: FREEDOM_OF_GROWTH_ACTIVATED]

Suddenly, a massive boom echoed from the horizon. A pillar of crimson light shot up from the Forbidden Lands, piercing the grid-sky. This wasn't a glitch Caelum had created. This was an external intrusion.

"Caelum!" Elara ran to the balcony, her staff glowing with a new, raw violet energy. "The readings are off the charts. Something is trying to 'Format' the entire sector!"

Caelum's eyes turned pitch black, his vision zooming into the source of the red light. Far across the ocean, in the neighboring server of 'Solara', he saw them—massive, faceless entities draped in robes of white static. The Executors. The system's immune system had finally responded.

"Kira, gather the Shadow Council," Caelum commanded, his fingers dancing in the air as he began to write a new defensive script. "The King was just a tutorial. The real game starts now. We aren't just saving a kingdom anymore; we're going to war against the Gods who programmed us."

He looked down at the Root Admin Key in his hand. It was no longer just a key. It began to shift, the obsidian metal stretching and sharpening until it took the form of a long, jagged blade that seemed to swallow the light around it.

[NEW ITEM FORGED: THE NULL-VOID BLADE]

[RANK: WORLD_BREAKER]

"If they want to format this world," Caelum whispered, his smirk widening into a dangerous grin, "they'll have to delete me first."
