"They don't just make dresses for anyone,one has to acquire a certain amount of aura and money before viólá can make their cloth" Cassidy said in a very condescending tone that could make one sense in an extent that she doesn't like Claudia
"What do you mean?,Are you trying to say that Claudia is not rich enough to own a piece of fabric from that brand,Do you know that she is the heiress of the Johnson group,I know that you have not heard about her family because you clearly don't belong here,I think you are just trying to fit in by wearing knockoffs" Nelly shouted and that drew the attention of everyone in the bar,the loud song stopped and everywhere became silent,all eyes were now fixed on Cassidy who didn't seem to mind because that is really the result she wanted from the beginning.
"I don't know you and you clearly don't know me ,my name is Cassidy Jordon and I know for a fact that half the population in this bar have heard about my family and I will really advice you to strut off before things get out of proportion" Cassidy said as she made her way to the door but was once again blocked by Robert who tried to squeeze her hands but was stopped mid air by a larger hand.
"I won't try that if I were you young man"Ethan who has been observing from the shadows from the beginning stopped Robert with a hint of warning in his voice while looking lovingly at Cassidy."what are you doing all alone in this male packed bar,is any of your brothers aware?"He asked his gaze turning serious as he looked at Cassidy
"Who do you think you are to hold me like this,Do you know who I am?"Robert screamed like a maniac that had no control,this was the first time that someone has undermined his authority and he wasn't having any of it.
"Samuel should really cage his stepbrother so that he can stop using the family name to cause problems outside,this is why children born by mistresses are regarded as nothing,they don't know how to act when they are given small power" Ethan said with an eyeroll,he knows how to tick off an opponent with just his words.
Robert was visibly shaken when he heard his brother's name because he was very scared of his brother and he knows that if his brother finds out about him harassing anyone with his authority his mom will be the one to suffer so he turns to leave but stopped on his tracks when he saw his brother at the door
"Bro Bro..."he couldn't even finish what he was saying when he received a thunderous slap from Samuel
"I had to drop important things in the office to rush here because Ethan called me to tell me that something like you is disturbing a descendant of the Jordon family and if you don't want me to let your mum have a miserable death you better drop on your knees and apologize till Miss Jordon is satisfied "Samuel said with anger as he looked at Robert as if he was looking at an enemy.
Robert dropped on his knees instantly and started begging Cassidy who just smiled as she locked eyes with Claudia while making a mocking face
"You are very lucky Samuel ,I nearly called Sebastian but I just figured that you could handle this mess without any bloodshed"Ethan said as he made his way to the door. "You better finish up what you are doing here and return home young lady before I tell your brothers that you are dating different men here"he added as he left with his guards.
"Are you satisfied yet Miss Jordon?"Samuel asked as he got close to Cassidy who just nodded as her gaze swept the entire bar as she flashed her signature grin
Cassidy watched as Samuel's face softened, a flicker of something akin to relief crossing his features. He turned back to Robert, who was still kneeling, his head bowed. "Get up," Samuel commanded, his voice laced with a weariness that suggested this wasn't the first time he'd had to clean up Robert's messes.
Robert scrambled to his feet, avoiding eye contact with anyone. He looked like a cornered animal, desperate to escape. Samuel gestured towards the exit. "Leave. And don't let me hear about you bothering anyone again. Your actions reflect on the family."
Robert didn't hesitate. He practically sprinted out of the bar, disappearing into the night.
A tense silence hung in the air, broken only by the faint murmur of conversations resuming around them. Cassidy, still smiling, turned to Samuel. "Well, that was… entertaining."
Samuel ran a hand through his hair, clearly still rattled. "I apologize for that, Miss Jordon. Robert… he can be a bit of a problem. I assure you, it won't happen again."
"Oh, I'm sure," Cassidy replied, her eyes twinkling. She gestured towards a nearby booth. "Why don't we sit down? I think I need a drink after all that drama."Cassidy seeing how he handled Robert wanted to make him an ally
Samuel, ever the gentleman, escorted her to the booth. As they settled in, Claudia walked up to them with her followers Nelly and Tessy, her expression a mixture of anger and resentment,she has always had a crush on Samuel and seeing him being so gentle with Cassidy made her very jealous
"Samuel it's nice seeing you here" Claudia said, her voice low as she shyly avoided Samuel's gaze
"I wouldn't say the same Miss Claudia," Samuel replied as he gave her a quick glance. "Your friend caused a problem that required my attention,you were there to stop him but you didn't, I thought that girls from prestigious families were different but I guess it's just a stereotype"Samuel said as he called out for a waiter
The waiter appeared, and he ordered drinks. As they waited, Samuel turned to Cassidy. "Ethan mentioned something about telling your brothers that you are dating,will any of them come here. I hope that they don't misunderstand anything,I just want to buy you drinks to permanently smooth things out ."
Cassidy laughed, a genuine, carefree sound. "Oh, don't worry about that,he was just joking"
Samuel looked slightly flustered, but he managed a weak smile. "I see. Well, I'm relieved"
Claudia who was totally ignored walked out angrily swearing in her heart to avenge the grudge . Cassidy sipped her drink and looked at Samuel she knew Ethan had called Samuel for a reason. Ethan always knew what was going on. He was the one who understood her apart from her brothers, who had the most powerful allies. But he was also very protective, especially when it came to her.
She had a feeling this wouldn't be the last time she had to deal with Robert. He was the type who would never learn, the type who would always think he could get away with anything. But Cassidy was ready for him. She had a network of her own, a way of making sure things always went her way.
"So," she said, turning back to Samuel, "tell me, what exactly does Robert do? Besides causing trouble, I mean."
Samuel hesitated. "He works in the family business. He's… in charge of certain… investments."
Cassidy raised an eyebrow. "Investments? Interesting. I thought he was more of a… liability."
Samuel shifted uncomfortably. "He has his uses. But I assure you, he won't be bothering you again."
"I hope not," Cassidy said, her smile widening. "Because I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other again, Samuel. One way or another."
She knew she was playing a dangerous game, but she couldn't resist. She enjoyed the thrill of it, the power she held. And she knew that as long as she had her family by her side, she could handle anything.
The night went on, and they continued to talk, the initial tension slowly dissipating. Samuel, surprisingly, turned out to be quite sharp when he wasn't dealing with his troublesome brother. They discussed business, politics, and even discussed cooperations.
