Chapter 19 - The First True War

War was no longer coming.

War had arrived.

The Battlefield of Beiming

Beiming World was no longer just a frozen land of tribes.

It had become a battlefield.

The sky was cracked, still unstable from the previous clash. Snowstorms howled like beasts, but even they seemed afraid of what was about to happen.

On one side—

Thousands of warriors stood, their bodies covered in scars, their eyes filled with madness and excitement.

At the front stood Lin Ye.

Behind him, an army of demons.

Not organized like a traditional army.

But powerful.

Wild.

Unpredictable.

Each one driven by rage, survival, and hunger for power.

On the other side—

The sky opened.

Golden light flooded the battlefield.

From that light descended an army.

Perfect formation.

Perfect discipline.

Perfect silence.

Thousands of angels.

Behind them—

Ten Archangels.

And at the very front…

A figure that made even the Archangels stand still.

Nine wings.

A long golden spear.

Cold, emotionless eyes.

Heaven General — Zhao Tianxuan.

The Difference Between Armies

Lin Ye looked at the angel army and smiled.

"Disciplined," he said.

"Organized."

"Predictable."

He raised his black sword.

"Perfect targets."

Zhao Tianxuan looked at Lin Ye like one looks at an insect.

"Demon General," he said.

"Today, your existence ends."

Lin Ye laughed.

"Good," he said.

"I was getting bored of winning."

The First Clash of Armies

Zhao Tianxuan raised his hand.

"Advance."

The angel army moved as one.

Like a machine.

Perfect.

Precise.

Deadly.

Lin Ye pointed his sword forward.

"Charge."

The demon army roared and rushed forward.

No formation.

No discipline.

Just pure chaos.

Order vs Chaos

The two armies collided.

And the difference was immediate.

Angels moved like a system.

They blocked, attacked, defended, and advanced with perfect coordination.

Demons fought like beasts.

They bit.

They tore.

They ignored injuries.

They killed without fear.

At first—

The angels had the advantage.

Their formation held.

Their power was stable.

Their attacks were efficient.

Dozens of demons died in seconds.

The Turning Point

But then—

Something changed.

A demon was cut down.

Instead of dying quietly—

His body exploded into black energy.

That energy entered nearby demons.

And those demons…

Became stronger.

An angel killed another demon.

The same thing happened.

The battlefield began to change.

The more demons died…

The stronger the remaining demons became.

Zhao Tianxuan noticed immediately.

"So this is their system," he said.

"They grow stronger through death."

Wu Ming's Influence

Far away, in Qingyun World, Wu Ming stood in front of a massive map.

The map showed Beiming World.

Every movement.

Every clash.

Every death.

"As expected," Wu Ming said calmly.

"A direct fight favors Heaven at the beginning."

One of his followers asked:

"Then why send Lin Ye to fight directly?"

Wu Ming smiled slightly.

"Because this is not a battle to win quickly," he said.

"This is a battle to evolve."

He pointed at the map.

"Every demon that dies is an investment," Wu Ming said.

"Every second the battle continues…"

"The outcome shifts."

Back to the Battlefield

Lin Ye cut down an angel and laughed.

"Yes," he said.

"This is what I wanted!"

He jumped into the middle of the angel formation.

Madness.

Pure madness.

Zhao Tianxuan frowned.

"Reckless," he said.

He raised his spear and threw it.

The spear turned into a beam of golden light and shot toward Lin Ye.

BOOM.

Lin Ye was hit directly and sent crashing into the ground.

A massive crater formed.

For a moment—

Everything was silent.

The War Demon Rises

Then—

Black energy exploded out of the crater.

Lin Ye stood up.

His body was broken.

His armor cracked.

Blood everywhere.

But his aura…

Was stronger than before.

"Good…" he said,

Zhao Tianxuan's eyes narrowed.

"You are using the battlefield itself to grow stronger," he said.

Lin Ye grinned.

"Now you understand," he said.

The Shadow Moves

While the battlefield was in chaos…

Something else was happening.

In the shadows behind the angel army—

Mo Chen had arrived.

He moved silently, unseen, unnoticed.

His target—

The angel commanders.

Assassination

An angel commander stood behind the lines, directing troops.

"Maintain formation!" he shouted.

"Do not let the demons break through—"

His voice stopped.

A black blade appeared through his chest.

Mo Chen stood behind him.

"Too loud," Mo Chen said.

The commander fell.

No one noticed.

Another commander—

Dead.

Another—

Dead.

The angel army began to lose coordination.

Small mistakes began to appear.

Tiny gaps in the formation.

And in war—

Small mistakes lead to big losses.

The Shift

Zhao Tianxuan noticed.

"Something is wrong," he said.

He looked around the battlefield.

The formation was breaking.

Not from the front.

From within.

"There is another one," he said.

The Mind Behind the War

In Qingyun World, Wu Ming placed a piece on the map.

"Now," he said,

"we begin phase two."

He looked at the battlefield and whispered:

"Break their order…"

Chaos Wins

Back on the battlefield—

The angel formation finally broke.

Just a little.

But it was enough.

The demon army surged forward like a flood.

Chaos spread.

Angels began to lose their coordination.

And once their formation was gone—

They were no longer perfect.

They were just soldiers.

Lin Ye stood in front of Zhao Tianxuan, his body surrounded by black energy.

Zhao Tianxuan held his spear and looked at him seriously for the first time.

"You are not just a demon," Zhao Tianxuan said.

"You are a threat."

Lin Ye smiled.

"Good," he said.

"Now fight me like one."

The two charged at each other.

Black and gold collided again.

And the battlefield exploded.

In the void, Mo Wudao watched the war and said:

"This is it."

"The moment where Heaven realizes…"

"That this war…"

"Will not be easy."
