Chapter 23 - The Birth of a Demon World

The heavens… lost authority.

For the first time since the beginning of existence—

Order failed.

A sound echoed across all realms.

Not thunder.

Not destruction.

But something far more terrifying—

Creation.

At the center of the collapsing battlefield stood Mo Wudao.

His name… no longer belonged to a mortal.

It carried weight now.

The kind that bent reality.

The sky above him peeled away like torn fabric.

Beyond it—

There was no heaven.

No stars.

No divine light.

Only—

Endless Darkness.

But this darkness was not empty.

It was his.

Mo Wudao raised his hand slowly.

And space… obeyed.

Not shattered.

Not broken.

Rewritten.

A single line appeared in the void.

Thin.

Fragile.

Yet absolute.

Then—

It expanded.

That line became a boundary.

The boundary became a domain.

And the domain—

Became a world.

Far above, within the highest heavenly court—

Panic erupted.

"The laws are collapsing!"

"He's creating something outside the Heavenly System!"

"That's impossible—no being can exist beyond the Great Framework!"

An ancient voice trembled:

"He already has…"

Back below—

The world around Mo Wudao began to dissolve.

Mountains turned into particles of darkness.

Rivers froze mid-flow… then reversed into nothingness.

Even time itself stuttered.

Because something new was taking its place.

A realm not granted by heaven.

Not governed by fate.

Not bound by karma.

A realm…

Born from will alone.

Mo Wudao spoke.

Softly.

Yet his voice echoed across dimensions.

"This world…"

"…is mine."

And reality accepted it.

A massive pulse spread outward.

It crossed continents.

Pierced dimensions.

Shattered barriers between realms.

Across countless worlds—

Beings stopped.

Gods paused mid-thought.

Ancient monsters opened their eyes after millennia.

Because they all felt it.

A new origin point had appeared.

And it did not belong to heaven.

The First Independent Demon Realm

Darkness surged outward like an ocean.

But instead of consuming everything—

It organized itself.

The sky of the new realm formed first.

Black… yet filled with shifting crimson stars.

Each star pulsed like a heartbeat.

Alive.

Watching.

Then came the land.

Jagged mountains rose from nothingness.

Oceans of shadow expanded infinitely.

Forests of twisted, sentient trees grew in seconds.

Every inch of it—

Perfectly aligned with one existence.

Mo Wudao.

Creatures began to emerge.

Not summoned.

Not created.

Born.

Demons.

But not like those of old.

These beings carried a purity of chaos that even ancient demons could not comprehend.

They opened their eyes—

And immediately knelt.

Not out of fear.

Not out of pressure.

But instinct.

Because in their very existence—

They recognized their origin.

Mo Wudao looked upon them without emotion.

Then he spoke a single word:

"Rise."

And the entire realm obeyed.

Heaven Loses Control

Far above all realms—

The Heavenly System began to fracture.

Golden chains of law that once bound reality—

Snapped.

"What is happening?!"

"The lower realms are disconnecting!"

"We're losing jurisdiction!"

An ancient entity, one of the pillars of heaven, whispered in disbelief:

"No…"

"This is not rebellion…"

"This is replacement."

A portion of existence—

Had been cut away.

No.

Not cut.

Taken.

Mo Wudao's Demon Realm did not exist within heaven's authority.

It existed parallel to it.

Untouchable.

Uncontrollable.

For the first time—

Heaven had lost territory.

And worse—

It had no way to reclaim it.

The War Expands

The moment the Demon Realm stabilized—

A shockwave rippled through the multiverse.

Portals began to open.

Not randomly.

Deliberately.

From Mo Wudao's realm—

Gateways extended into other worlds.

Lower realms.

Middle realms.

Even high divine planes.

The invasion had begun.

Not through armies.

But through existence itself.

Demons stepped into foreign worlds.

And wherever they walked—

Reality began to change.

Laws twisted.

Energy corrupted.

Lifeforms evolved… or collapsed.

Entire civilizations fell—

Without a single battle.

Because the very rules of existence were no longer stable.

Mo Wudao's Throne

At the center of the Demon Realm—

A throne rose.

It was not built.

Not crafted.

It manifested.

A structure of absolute authority.

Formed from condensed reality itself.

Mo Wudao walked toward it.

Each step created ripples across dimensions.

He sat.

And the moment he did—

All demons across all connected realms—

Felt it.

A command.

Not spoken.

But absolute.

Expand.

Multiversal War Begins

In distant worlds—

Armies gathered.

Gods awakened.

Ancient beings broke their seals.

For they all understood one thing:

This was no longer a war of kingdoms.

Or even worlds.

This was—

A war of existence.

Heaven vs Something Beyond Heaven.

Mo Wudao closed his eyes for a moment.

Then opened them—

Now completely devoid of humanity.

Only dominance remained.

"Let them come," he said.

A faint smile appeared.

"I didn't create this world…"

"…to rule one realm."

His gaze pierced through dimensions.

"But all of them."

Far away—

Hidden in a collapsing fragment of a destroyed world—

A figure watched silently.

Unaffected.

Uncontrolled.

A being who did not kneel.

Their eyes glowed faintly.

And for the first time since Mo Wudao's ascension—

There was something new in the air.

Not fear.

Not despair.

Opposition.

Mo Wudao felt it.

And smiled.

"Good…"

The throne pulsed.

The Demon Realm expanded.

The multiverse trembled.

The Age of Heaven… had ended.

The Age of Demons… had begun.
