In a flash, the mercenary imploded.
Because of the intense weight of akane's gears he lost his balance again.

Made him sweat violently.
His vision is blurring.
But the strange hum was still there, worsening.
But he can only keep himself calm for a short amount of time.
Dozens of mercenaries flooded every corner.
Weapons raised.
akane had survived inside kaelara for more than 10 hours
His body had learned to become more efficient at using energy.
And it had learned to stay alive longer.
Akane's body is getting used to the heat inside his pressurized suit

Shadows form in the corner of his eyes.
His vision doubles.
His focus slowly disappears.

But the drugs weren't their only problem.

Their dropship who had managed to finally escape hell.
We're quickly aided by the government.
They got escorted to the space station orbiting kaelara.
Necropolis space station.
On their way a ship arrived and docked near them whilst flying.
Collecting the gas they've stolen, filtering them whilst they gather it.
After reaching the Necropolis space station.
On the main hallway of the space station.
Whilst walking around, soldiers they've met kept staring at them and whispering something.
"They're still alive?"
"Inside kaelara!?"
"Looks like the others didn't make it"
"How long has it been?" Hoshimi asked.
"I... also don't know" Aira replied.
As they turn left to the hallway.
In their path, two robots greeted.
"Follow us" one of the robots said.
As they followed the robot.
One stopped and turned around.
"We have to part wats here now"
Hakamo stared at them with confusion.
"Squad seven follow me" one of the robots said.
Leading them to the medical bay.
Inside was basic.
Just the classic needs for a human being.
As the three sat in one bed.
Their attention shifted towards the door.
The door opened.
Squad seven commander in charge James Arthur has walked inside, greeting them.
"You guys were alive after all" he said.
"thought we lost you"
His voice was a bit worried but still composed.
The commander sat In the bed in front of them.
Tanako let out a sigh.
"Well waves can't really penetrate into kaelara"
"The intense pressure destroys them" tanako said.
Just then the door opened again.
Yumi came inside.
She sat next to hakamo.
"Besides shouldn't you guys already know it" tanako continued.
"Well... Information is limited these days" James Arthur replied.
"Ever since the main pathway of ai transportation has been infected"
"The transfer of information across the aurellia system has been a struggle"
The room went silent for a moment.
The only noises active were soldiers laughing outside of the room.
"Yeah... Why couldn't we just take the main facility back" tanako questioned.
"We have taken it" James replied.
"Only the base, not the ai"
"The infecteds have managed to spread with the ai"
Tanako and James stared at each other.
Tanako weirdly laughs.
"Y-you're... Joking right"
"No" James said.
A brief moment of silence had passed.
"Y-yumi, how long has it been already?" Hakamo asked.
Yumi stared at hakamo's visor.
"12 hours, and why don't you remove your armor?"
Hakamo froze for a bit.
Then nodded slowly.
In his neck there was a ring circulating in his entire neck.
He tapped a small button, just below his right ear over the mastoid process .
Hiss.
His helmet popped open.
Hakamo let out a sigh.
"Commander..."
James gaze shifted towards hakamo.
"Akane and the others are still inside kaelara" hakamo said.
"Really?" James replied.
"Affirmative, we have to send reinforcements now"
James hesitated for a while.
Then finally.
"Okay, if they arrive, they should be alive"
"I'll ask the general"
"They'll be alive, not in one piece though" hakamo said.
Silence.
Then-
Both laughed hysterically.
Back inside kaelara.
Numerous bolts of huge thunder rained heavily across the moving platform.
Mercenaries are flooding the corners.
Resisting and winning against the attempted attack.
A thunderbolt is 1 km wide and appears very frequently.
But the platform was bigger.
Akane's breathing became heavier.
It's clear that his fatigue was getting more intense.
