The executive conference room overlooked the city through floor-to-ceiling windows. Morning sunlight reflected off the polished table where department heads waited for the weekly strategy briefing.
Peter entered precisely on time.
Every conversation stopped.
Without saying a word, he walked to his seat, placed a thick folder on the table, and looked around the room.
"We're restructuring the security review process," he said evenly. "Every department will cooperate. No exceptions."
Several executives nodded immediately.
