"How odd. The skies were clear just a second ago..." Tian Hua gazed at the sky and suddenly felt all her hair stand on end. It was as though someone was gazing at her with malice.
She shuddered and rubbed her shoulders. "Did the temperature just drop? I feel cold all of a sudden."
"You're cold?" Xiao Shen smiled and took off his jacket. "Here, you can..."
Then he facepalmed and shook his head. "Aiyah. I'm so dumb."
Tian Hua was wearing a cute, slightly oversized black and white woolen sweater with the panda eared hoodie over her head. How could she be feeling cold?
"Tee-hee! It's still a very sweet gesture, Shen-ge!" Tian Hua giggled and covered her mouth.
Xiao Shen gave her a hollow chuckle and quietly skipped the jacket back on. He then looked at the cloudy sky that had lightning brewing and sighed. "Hua-jie, let us first head to a cafe before the rain starts. There's one very close to us."
"Eh, why not." Tian Hua shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. Cafes were noisy, but it now seemed to be the only option.
Together they walked over to a nearby cafe and took up a table.
Then, Tian Hua opened her bag and pulled out a laptop, five large chemistry textbooks, three hardcover notebooks that she used for taking notes during class, and a tablet.
"...." Xiao Shen pursed his lips. "Hua-jie, you never told me that you were a wizard with spatial powers..."
How the f*ck could she fit all these things into a small handbag?
"Tee-hee!" Tian Hua giggled again and wagged her finger. "It's a secret~"

"Odd weather, huh?" A waitress sister smiled at them and brought two glasses of water. "Test tomorrow?"
"Hmm." Tian Hua nodded her head. She then turned her head to look at Xiao Shen, who stood out like a crane among chickens¹ in his suit and tie.

"Shen-ge, would you be having anything?"
"Umm, two plates of chicken steak would do." Xiao Shen looked at the waitress sister and smiled. He then turned his head and looked at Tian Hui. "You'll have one, right?"
"Okay." Tian Hua bobbed her small head.
She then took up her glass of water and was about to take a sip, when she remembered that she had drugs to take.
She was currently with a glass of water, was this not the best time to take them?
Tian Hua was someone who dreaded medicine even more than she did death. When she would fall sick as a young child, she would even hide the illness from her family and suffer silently just so that she would not have to take the drugs that tasted worse than bitter bamboo. This usually ended up in the illness getting so bad that she would have to be sent to hospital...
"Shen-ge, the drugs." The petite girl steeled her resolve and tapped Xiao Shen on the shoulder.
"Oh." Xiao Shen nodded and reached into his pocket to bring out the medicine. Collecting them, he held out his hand and spread his palm. "Here, Hua-jie."
"Thanks, Shen-ge!" Tian Hua smiled at him and took the medicine. Then she frowned.
There was a pill there that she did not recognize!
If it were any other guy, she would have thought that they wanted to drug her, but, since it was Xiao Shen, her first thought was that he was sick.
Like her, Xiao Shen was someone who disliked taking medicine. However, instead of hiding his illness, he would usually aggravate it so that he would get pampered. But, though he liked the pampering, he disliked the drugs and would usually hide them until the illness got so bad that he would have to be sent to hospital...
Infact, that was literally how the both of them met. In a hospital.

Right now, she poked the unknown capsules and pursed her lips. "Shen-ge, what drugs are these?"
"Hmm?" Xiao Shen raised a brow and tilted his head slightly. He looked at her palm and his body stiffened.

A memory from a few seconds ago flashed though his mind.

He touched his pocket, and there was indeed nothing inside.
He had mixed in the comprehension capsules with Tian Hua's medicine!
"Shen-ge?" Tian Hua raised a brow in suspicion.
"It's candy." Xiao Shen said the first thing that popped into his mind and instantly regretted it.

Mr. Brain, did you take a vacation or what?!!
No matter what, the very first law of all convenient liars was that a convenient lie was one that must never cause the prompting of more complicated questions!
"Candy? Really?" Tian Hua raised a brow and poked the capsules with her finger. They were soft and hard at the same time, but not elastic like normal capsules. Then, they actually smelled pleasant compared to the other obnoxious drugs in her palm.
The thought came to her mind, but she swiftly dismissed it.
This stuff? Candy?!

She wanted to know if Xiao Shen was ill and was hiding his drugs, but now he was telling her that it was candy!
She was not a five year old!
"Chew one, then." Tian Hua had a sweet smile on her face as she handed one of the capsules to him.
If it were really candy, he would not hesitate to...
Crunch.
Xiao Shen threw the capsule into his mouth and chewed on it without a second thought. The capsules were sweet and felt like honey when they were chewed.
"Eh?" Tian Hua blinked in confusion as Xiao Shen had an ecstatic look on his face. It was that look one had when they just tried something very, very good.
She looked at the capsule in her hand and smiled. "So it really is candy!"
