"Huh, I thought they'd send someone else!" Hanamiya mocked.

Ryu completely ignored him.

Enraged by the silence, Hanamiya grinned wickedly. "Are you scared? You must be an extraordinary genius... and geniuses are the most annoying things. I'll like destroy them with my own hands!"

With that, Hanamiya stepped forward, leaning into Ryu's personal space with pure ill intent.

Thump thump thump thump thump…

"Wow… what is that?"

"My god, is he even human?"

"Is he dancing?"

"Is he really playing basketball?"

The entire audience stared at the person performing this incredible feat on the court.

Everyone seemed frozen in place, unable to believe what they were seeing. It was chaotic, utterly chaotic.

They had never seen basketball played like this before. Such reckless dribbling completely shattered their worldview.

Aomine Daiki and others was dumbfounded.

The group in the Teiko rest area were also swallowing hard, rubbing their eyes every now and then.

Everyone in Meisei was also wide-eyed, their faces filled with disbelief.

Hanamiya Makoto nearly bit his tongue, his eyes practically popping out of their sockets.

Ryu's movements were like an octopus perched on a roly-poly toy. His movements were incredibly exaggerated, often appearing as if he were about to fall. But the basketball seemed to be an extension of Ryu's body; no matter how exaggerated his movements, the basketball moved with the movement of his arms.

Ryu was like a dancer.

His footwork and dribbling were completely erratic.

The basketball kept colliding with the ground as he swung his arms.

Thump thump thump thump thump…

Hanamiya Makoto was completely petrified. He had absolutely no idea how to defend, let alone sabotage his opponent.

Ryu didn't care about his opponent's thoughts. He suddenly slowed his dribbling for a split second. Hanamiya Makoto saw the opportunity and prepared to steal the ball. He used tremendous force, intending to injure Ryu's hand even if he couldn't steal it.

A cold glint flashed in Ryu's eyes. He had been waiting for this opportunity.

Suddenly, Ryu spun around, using the momentum of his body to slam the basketball into the back of Hanamiya Makoto's hand.

Thud…

The sound was loud and crisp.

A sharp pain followed the sound. Hanamiya Makoto clutched his hand, gritting his teeth.

Ryu regained control of the rebounding basketball.

He gave Hanamiya Makoto a cold glance, then his figure flashed past him.

Ryu didn't stop, heading straight for the Meisei restricted area.

The same old routine—Ryu tossed the basketball upwards.

The basketball landed steadily on the edge of the backboard, then rolled into the basket.

[Tightrope Walking] secured two more points for Teiko.

Ryu then turned to look at Hanamiya Makoto.

Hanamiya Makoto was still standing there, clutching his hand, grimacing.

Ryu had deliberately added a bit more force to that strike.

That strike wouldn't cause a serious injury, only redness, swelling, and a numb, painful sensation.

Visibly, Hanamiya Makoto's right hand was beginning to swell and enlarge.

Seeing him covered in cold sweat, he was probably almost at his breaking point.

Ryu slowly walked back to his own half of the court.

As he passed by Hanamiya Makoto, he said indifferently, "Those who do many evil deeds will surely perish. When you scheme against your opponents, you must bear the corresponding consequences."

With that, Ryu ignored Hanamiya Makoto.

Watching Ryu's retreating figure, Hanamiya Makoto's eyes were bloodshot with rage.

His bloodshot eyes were fixed on Ryu's back.

'Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it…' Hanamiya Makoto roared inwardly, as if he wanted to tear Ryu to pieces and skin him alive.

Beep…

Meisei requested a timeout.

Hanamiya Makoto was unable to continue the match due to injury.

This was a scene everyone wanted to see.

Some teams that had been harmed by Hanamiya Makoto in the past felt extremely relieved, cursing that Hanamiya Makoto had brought it upon himself.

Aomine, Akashi, and the others also came to Ryu to ask what had just happened.

Ryu said with a bitter smile, "That's a dribbling technique I call 'Chaotic Dance.'"

'Chaotic Dance' is a special skill that relies on highly developed motor skills, incredibly fast muscle learning and memory, and top-tier destructive power, speed, flexibility, and balance.

This was a skill that Ryu had just awakened by chance. It was very abrupt, like the pressure inside a thermos being too high, forcibly pushing the cork out.

Unfortunately, Ryu's body can't handle it yet.

Fortunately, 'Chaotic Dance' is an ability that grows with his own development.

"As you know, I can perform some unconventional moves. I pushed my body to its limits to successfully use this move." Ryu paused, then continued, "Unfortunately, this move is putting too much strain on my current body. I can't participate in the upcoming matches; I'll probably need to rest for a few days before I can play again."

Only then did everyone notice—Ryu's entire body was trembling slightly.
