Chapter 71 - Report 62- Euthanasia

The location was a few prefectures away from U.A in the Ibaraki Prefecture in Tsuchiura. Albert and Mélusine arrived and waited till night had come.

"Hmm…" Wolfgang looked far away at the location, a fenced off base with a fair amount of cover to get close and sneak in. "Mel, know if Archer is here?"

"A good chance, there is faint traces of mana like that base where you faced Archer." Mélusine replied while in her spiritual body.

"Then let's get going. Remember, hide until I say so."

"I know."

Albert cracked his neck and leapt. Having stalked the base's outside parameter he knew how many guards where outside and thus he dealt with the 14 guards walking around in patrol. Albert did not spare them as with a chopping motion he snapped their necks.

Thud-Crack! Thud-Crack! Thud-Crack!

Thud-Crack! Thud-Crack! Thud-Crack!

Thud-Crack! Thud-Crack! Thud-Crack! Thud-Crack!

Then he entered the building. Watching it all go down was Assassin. They quickly left and went two blocks down where Mirio and Rider were.

"They have arrived." Assassin said materializing. "The person in question has killed all the guards before entering the building."

Mirio was fully dressed in his hero costume a white skin-tight top with the number "1000000" stamped across his chest in a bold, yellow font. The trimming on the top and shoulder pads are made in a matching fashion. On his waist, two green lines act as a belt, along with some lines of similar appearance on his shoulders, which dip in places to form two V's. Mirio also wears baggy dark blue pants, with the back being white, divided in the middle by the blue, and white knee-high boots with yellow soles. He wears a red cape as well as thick short gloves of matching color.

"Hm." Mirio made a disgruntled expression, a feeling of failure washed over Mirio. "Rider, Assassin, if you can I want you guys to bring them in alive. They will be brought to justice for vigilantism and murder."

"I will do my best." Assassin replied.

"As you ordered, Master!" Rider said gleefully ready to fight.

As for Rider she is a young girl clad in samurai armor with a black bodysuit under her armor that covers a large amount of her body, if she didn't she would have as much clothing on as a stripper.

"Then let's move!" Mirio said he walks forward and phases though the ground.

The other two servants vanish back into their spiritual body and head towards the base. Today a Master and Servant pair will meet and fight!

.

.

.

Far later, back at Sir Nighteye's agency, Sir Nighteye stared at the back of his hand. It has been a few hours since Mirio had left with Rider and Assassin. Sweat dripped down in beads as his heart sank down to his stomach. It has been a while since his command seals disappeared.

"… Mirio."

He looks a bit to the side of his desk. On his desk was his phone, he has been trying to call Mirio ever since his Command Seals vanished. Each failed call makes him all the more fearful of the worst case. His hair became disheveled, his leg kept thumping from being restless.

Sir Nighteye dares not wish to use his Quirk for fear that if he did it would mean the worse cannot be changed… or maybe the worse has been confirmed. Regret plagued him. It has been a for a while, but he needed his help if he wished to win the Grail War. He long told Mirio how dangerous it was but he was still willing to help for the greater good.

"I'm a damn fool…" He whispered to himself, his fingers digging into his palm.

Creak~

Sir Nighteye looked up to the door to see Mirio. He was a badly beaten but he was alive. Immediately he felt all of his stress leave him.

"Mirio!" He came up to him and hugged him. "You are safe!"

"S-Sorry Sir." Mirio hugged him back. "I… I had to run away." He said holding back his tears. "Rider and Assassin, they are gone sir."

Sir Nighteye's eyes widen. He didn't think both would fall. He pulled back at looked Mirio in his eyes.

"What happened?"

"That person we lured in, Trojan was their name, they were actually Berserkers master. We were doing well but Berserker used his Noble Phantasm and blew up the base. Trojan got away in the scuffle while Ushi and Miss Assassin stayed behind to kill Berserker. Look and see."

Mirio looked around and got the remote and turned on the tv to show the news. The news has reported the explosion of the base happening.

"Fuu~" Sir Nighteye let out a deep breath as he walks back to his desk and leans on it. "… This is the end. No more Grail War."

"Sir Nighteye!" Mirio raised his voice. "We can't let this person be free! They killed everyone at the base!"

"No." He said sternly, he then brushes his hair back with his fingers. "Go home." He turned around and lowered his head. "Tonight… tonight we are lucky and you were not killed." He walked over and sat back behind his desk and leans back on his chair. "Get some sleep. And mute the TV please. It has been a long night."

Mirio mutes the tv as he walks towards Sir Nighteye.

"Sir! Please! I need to bring them to justice!"

"Mirio this is over." he raised his voice.

"But we can still do something!" Mirio shouted back, taking a few steps closer. "W—what if Archer or Saber begin to move!"

"Archer is holding up somewhere in the western half of the Aichi Prefecture!" Nighteye shouted looking Mirio in his eyes. "They are not going anywhere! Their at their center of their cultural sphere they are the strongest servant!"

"What about Lancer!" He stepped closer. "You saw them fight Saber on the news!"

"Archer is Oda Nobunaga! They're in Japan! It is no question who is stronger when we don't even know where Lancer even came…" Sir Nighteye slowly stopped talking.

From the corner of his eye he saw the tv. He saw a picture of Mirio, it said in the headline that he was found dead nearby in the middle of an open field. He unintentionally activated his Quirk and saw the future.

Only one thing appeared in his sight.

"W—"

Before he could act Mirio had already drew a basic pistole and shoved it in Sir Nighteye's mouth. He knew when to strike from seeing the TV from Sir Nighteye's glasses. With some force he made Sir Nighteye's head look down for the angle to be right, Mirio pulled the trigger as if it was as natural to him as breathing, done within half a second. Resistance was never even an option.

Bang!

Sir Nighteye's body falls back on his chair as his brain stains the wall behind him. His eyes grow empty and a single tear runs down his face.

Mirio looks at the corpse for a while holding the gun. He looks at the gun and narrows his eyes.

"Albert." Mélusine appears next to Mirio.

Mirio began to turn back to Albert, his clothing, his build, his voice, everything returned back to normal.

"Mel." Albert then began to set the scene make it look like Sir Nighteye committed suicide.

"Are you feeling okay?" She asked for Albert's wellbeing, he did just kill two innocent people who were genuinely good people.

"… Not really. I have sort of numbness in my heart." He said while cleaning his prints and putting the gun in Sir Nighteye's hand. He made sure to leave some prints on the inside of the gun. "But he needed to go. I don't want loose ends. His quirk is a scary one I couldn't let him use it. I need the Grail."

Albert has done his research on Sir Nighteye. With Albert's skills in hacking he got a lot of information on Sir Nighteye by going through his messages and emails. He is a cautious man who doesn't use his Quirk unless absolutely needed to get what he needs. He went ahead and looked around the room to find and read his handwriting to write up a suicide letter.

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No." He shook his head. "I have no right to cry or complain, I took their lives on my own will. I can't hide from it saying I was mind controlled or that it was part of my mission or something. Heh." He stops what he is doing and a wry smiles forms. "It is horrible, these sins I made this night. Yet I am happy I could make them. Hehe… hehehahaha!!" He let out a hearty laugh.

He knew Mirio and Sir Nighteye could have been spared now that their servants were slain but he couldn't spare them. He made a choice and decided that he would be serious in winning the Grail War. It is better to get rid of problems before they could potentially grow in danger.

He turns to Mélusine and extends his hand.

"Shall we celebrate, Mélusine? For the riddance of two servants and masters, the location of Archer and my first genuine sinful acts!" He said with a child's gleeful smile from this first act of selfishness. "Tonight calls for a dance!"

Mélusine loved his smile, this sour night became just a bit more sweeter for herself and Albert. She extends her hand and holds the hand of her master. Albert brings her in close and the two began to dance together in the middle of Sir Nighteye's office where the man himself has a chunk of his brain splat on the floor.

They would find handwritten letters and leave behind a letter "written" by Sir Nighteye to be discovered by his sidekicks when they eventually arrive. Ultimately, his death would be ruled almost instantly as a suicide. Japan still have their high conviction rates and with such an easy and shut case, why bother looking into it?

But…

Let us turn back to pendulum back a few hours back, five minutes after Albert entered the building.

In that short amount of time he rushed through the corridors like a violent flood slaughtering everyone that came into view. He used his Mana Burst to reach the final room where everything was being shipped out.

"… There are not here." Albert said as he turns to people stuffed in shipping containers. "Oy, have you seen a girl with long black hair and a military outfit and is really scary?"

"N-no!" One of them said.

"A-are you a hero?" said a woman.

"Sure, get the fuck out. I marked the path out of here with bloody arrow signs." He turns and walks away. He draws his guns and shoots the locks off all the shipping containers. "Free them and then leave. There is no one else alive here."

"!" They all look at one another and quickly rushed to do as he said.

While they were freeing the other captives Albert went into the office and began to look through its books.

'Mel, have you checked the area?'

'I have and I am checking them several times, you have killed everyone in here. The people who trafficked here have left their chains and are running away. Seems this place was a dud, or maybe we got here too late.'

'Maybe even too early.' In Albert hands he had the schedule for this base of the Shie Hassaikai. 'It says here that their boss would be coming to check on them in two weeks.'

'Damn. Anything else?'

'Nothing. Getting this much is surprising already. After I get out you wanna blow this place—'

'A hero is here, it's Mirio.' Mélusine said grimly as she moved to be close with Albert.

The two understand now this was a trap to lure Albert in. How they knew to lure Albert was something he needed to know.

'… Be ready for combat. If you can aim for the head or legs if you can.'

'Understood.'

Albert takes a deep breath, straightened his posture, and walks out of the office to see Mirio at the far end of the room with his arms crossed. He had a stern, almost angry look on his face.

"You." Mirio glared at him. "What is your name!" His voice echoed through the large room filled with crates and bloody dead bodies.

All the innocent people had already left by now.

"I am Nobody." Albert was ready for anything, his senses were on fire. "Why is a hero here?" Albert slightly turned his head as if to see if there are others.

"You are under arrest!" Mirio shouted again. "Come peacefully or I will use force!"

All Might's voice echoed in Albert's mind.

"No." Albert responded. "What laws did I break?" Albert slowly began to walk towards Mirio.

Mirio took notice immediately of Albert getting closer. He was also ready to act.

"Are you serious?" He opened his arms and gestured to the dead people. "Murder for one!"

'Albert, his servant is in the room, I could feel her excitement—no. I should say ambient bloodlust.'

Albert took note of it.

"No, I am merely disposing of trash. Heh." A smile formed on Albert's suit even though he himself wasn't smiling. "But what would I expect from a hero? Getting rid of the symptoms but never the cause."

"Put your hands behind your back and lay on your stomach!" Mirio shouted as he pointed at Albert taking a step forward.

"Make me!" Just like breathing Albert drew and shot his gun.

Bang~!!!

"Rider!!" he shouted as he was already sinking through the ground.

From the side, coming out from the crates Rider jumped out with her sword already drawn.

"HAAAA!!!" Rider shouted darting towards Albert.

A servant, Albert, was about to draw his other gun when a chill ran down his back. With his strength he flipped back avoiding the attack to see another person, Assassin. Assassin was holding a kunai in her hand.

'Another Servant! Albert they are Assassin! I couldn't feel their presence in any form!'

Rider stops next to Assassin and Mirio pops up behind them a few steps away.

"Well, look at this." Albert was smiling ear to ear underneath his armor. Two servants and a master fell right on his lap. He understood how they could lure him.

'I guess Assassin must have been there when I fought Archer. With how stealthy they are it is highly probable.'

He uses his Mystic Eyes and opened a small bit in Morning Star to look at them.

"Oh…" He saw how it will end.

"Give up." Mirio said once more.

"… Heh." Albert looks at Mirio and the two servants. "None of you will be escaping here." Albert reached to his waist and drew Kischur.

Rider and Assassin's eyes widen as they stare at the handle of Kischur.

'Go behind Mirio while they look at Kischur.' Albert told Mélusine. 'Then use all of your speed to stab him through the chest.'

'Understood!'

"T—that is…" Assassin softly mumbles.

"A divine construct." Rider said as her stances gets more proper.

Albert injects his mana into the handle and activates it all the while using his Mana Burst at max power while also reinforcing Morning Star.

Kpisssssh!

Looking at it all three of them felt a terror enter them, they do not want to meet Albert's weapon. Even Albert's Mana Burst instinctually made them as Heroic Spirits wish to slay Albert where he stood for humanity. Their attention was his alone.

'Now.'

"!" Rider and Assassin's eyes widen as a sharp and fearsome bloodlust appeared behind them. They turn to see Mirio with Mélusine's blade through Mirio's chest.

"H-huh?" Mirio looks down as Mélusine draws her blades back. "I…" He feels cold, he feels all of his warmth is leaving through his chest as it ebbs down and pools around his feet where it mixes with the dead yakuza members.

"MIRIO!!!" Rider howled as she reaches for him.

Bang~!!!

Rider jumped back and sliced the bullet before it could reach Mirio. She saw Albert moving with an inhuman speed. They did not even account for the possibility of such speeds. From what Assassin reported they were not this fast before. He had his arm up and he swung down, the purple light extended.

Rider, Ushiwakamaru's mind raced.

'Death! Failure! I failed Mirio! I failed Katou! I can't save them!' She does not have the time nor the speed to get out of this situation. 'Ah… Ah! AHHHH—'

"HHHHHHHHH!!!!!" She cried out as she turn around to grab Mirio, her master. How horrible, she had a Noble Phantasm that could give them a chance, but it was too late now to use it.

As for Assassin, Katou Danzou, felt her 'blood' run cold. She didn't know she could feel giving her construction as a mechanical existence, a puppet. Her eyes went to Mirio the moment Mélusine manifested and made herself known from her bloodlust. She saw the impalement and immediately she thought of ways to save Mirio, her master's protégé. She knows everything in medicine just in case her master gets injuries she could save his life.

'Another servant!'

Katou Danzou saw the now horrifying red of Lancer, Mélusine. But she was different. She was stronger than before.

'How!?'

With her here the situation was flipped, Albert had flipped the board into the stratosphere. She saw a purple hue in the corner of her eye.

"!" Assassin's robotic mind raced and came up with an idea. Unfortunately, the sword swing was already going for her. "Do not lo—"

SWISH!!

Assassin was split into two, her doll body shattered onto the floor just as Rider caught Mirio. Her last words lingered in Rider and in Mirio's hazy mind.

"Master!! Master!!" Rider shouted as Mirio struggles to stay awake.

"How sad." Albert walks towards the pair, Mélusine floating right where she stabbed Mirio. "if only you weren't a master I would have liked to know you as a friend."

"U-ugh… who… are you?" Mirio said with a strained voice.

The armor moves and it reveals Albert's face. He had an expression of sadness, disappointment, and acceptance. Mirio, however, made a face of shock and horror, he didn't think his junior who he was helping out in class just a day ago had him at gunpoint.

"I need to win, Mirio." Albert raised his gun. "Blame your mentor for making you a master and entering the Grail War."

"I—"

"Assassin!!" Rider shouted.

From one of the corpses nearby it exploded into a puff of smoke, from it Assassin appeared. Katou Danzou was a ninja of course, they knew how to avoid a lethal strike at least once.

"HAAH!!" Assassin easily reached Albert as she has traversal mechanisms that made her a very fast servant.

Thud-Creak-CRACK~!!

Assassin had designated Albert as a person who needs to be killed. There is no hopes in bringing in this monster in and nor do they deserve to live any longer than it should. Albert was a Beast Candidate, that alone warrants his execution for the human order. Which is why Assassin upon striking Albert to kill, shattered her arms.

"!?" Assassin's eyes widen, her plan failed upon impact.

The force Assassin used to punch a hole through Albert's body was nowhere near enough as Morning Star along with how naturally durable Albert's body has become. Along with his armor, his body, and his organs are being reinforced, it was like a humming bird smashing into a brick wall at maximum speed.

Albert turned and looked at Assassin's surprised expression, he also holstered his gun. Mélusine appeared and sliced her legs off at the heels before returning to where she was before. No matter how fast Assassin was these moments of absurdness and Mélusine's speed were always going to curb and stomp them. Their death certificates were already signed the moment they decided to face him and Mélusine.

Before Assassin could hit the ground Albert grabbed her by the neck, holding her tightly and truly examining her.

"… You are certainly a raven haired beauty. You remind me of myself, you know?"

Rider dared not move. Mélusine was baring down on them. She felt pitiful, shameful of herself that a Rider such as herself who are supposed to be the fastest servant be locked down by Lancer. Had it been the Mélusine when she was first summoned then she would be faster than her if they went on foot. But the air was Mélusine's domain where she alone reigns supreme.

"I… am nothing like you." Assassin replied with a hint of anger in her cool and monotone voice.

"You were created to serve and kill. I was the same. Born in a lab, poked and prodded." Albert began to examine her construction through reinforcement having analyze the structural composition of her construction. "Which is why I seek the grail to fully cut my threads and be free."

Albert has fully analyzed Assassin's construction and because of it he gained a new skill.

[Ding!Due to the magical nature of the puppets creation you have a great and deep understanding of her creation Puppet Creation skill has been added! Fusing skill with Engineering! Ding Engineering has increased in rank!]

"Beautiful." He said admiring her construction, he is now capable of recreating a doll on her level. "I will tell your master, Sir Nighteye that you fought to the very end."

Albert let go of her and with a thrust he pierced through her chest crushing her Saint Graph.

"Ah…" Assassin's eyes dulled, her body then began to fade away.

Albert removed his hand turning back to Rider and Mirio, Assassin vanished before she could even hit the ground. Rider looks up at Albert as if he was truly the most evil person on the planet.

"Rider. I think we would have a lot of fun together." Albert said with cold eyes that were heavy. "Mel."

Stab!!

Mélusine pierced through and destroyed Rider's Saint Graph. Rider let out a gasp as the air left her lungs. Her warm puppy dog eyes moisten as she says her last words.

"You have sad eyes, beast. A tiger should not make such eyes." She began to slowly fade. "I…" She looked down at Mirio who was still trying his best to keep his eyes open, he managed to stop the bleeding through his own reinforcement. "Failed you, my lord. I did not claim a single general's head for you."

"U… Ushi…" Mirio said weakly.

"Farewell, master."

She then vanishes. Two servants have been slain in only a matter of minutes.

Mirio, without Rider holding him up lays flat on his back in a pool of his own blood. Tears streaming down his face.

"I would like to thank you, senior." Albert lightly smiled at him. "If you didn't use your magical circuits during our little spar, you and I will—well you may have lived longer, or the very least escaped. Seeing as this was a trap we were destined to clash."

Mirio looks at him with fearful eyes. Death was coming and it scared him.

"But if not for you I wouldn't have found another Master and Servant pair for me to kill."

Tears ran down the side of his face. His simple act of helping a junior lead to his mentor ending up on the crosshairs of a reaper.

"Do not worry." Albert walks up to Mirio, Kischur is turned off and Albert draws his own gun, he has a way to cover that up, and aims it at Mirio's heart, a courtesy for his family and friends to have an open casket funeral. "I will win. Your death will not be wasted. That I promise you."

He gathered his strength and courage to call out for mercy.

"Albert—"

Mercy was something Albert was never taught to give nor receive. But this act was something he was about to commit and was fully in his control, which made it all the more special to him. He could have given mercy but…

BANG!

That would mean letting Mirio live. Maybe deep down this is who he is. He saw his face just to justify to himself why Mirio could not live.

In any case. Four Masters and four Servants remain, Galahad and Mélusine, the strongest Master and Servant, have slain three of the original seven pairs.
