Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: Sweet Torment: The Darling Spell

/POP Alice/

In a living room filled with darkness in the middle of the night under the moonlight. The light came directly through the window, the wind made the clothes near the window float by the chilly wind. The silence in the night and the light came into this dark room like something would be discovered by the light coming into the darkness, or maybe the darkness discovered the light of the world.

At this time, normal people would be deep in the world of dreams with happiness or even nightmares, maybe someone was still not sleeping yet because the night is the best for hurting souls that need to recover after struggling to live in the light. Maybe the darkness can heal living people more than the light itself.

The darkness in this room became bigger because of these dark souls, the dark souls tried to reach out to the moonlight to ease their pain, suffering, and trauma from the illusion of time, by the work of the universe, maybe humans think the light is the representation of healing but for these two hurting souls living here, only the darkness could heal each other even while becoming deeper and stronger inside the endless dark hole. Maybe the light is the energy for these crazy souls.

Sana's eyes shed tears while he struggled to wipe them away with his hand in an awkward way. The light came onto his face making his tears shine a little. The light came from the darkness. This darkness was so deep and heavy like it had been hidden for so long. This time it would discover the light and devour it.

Alice hugged him very tightly, pretending she didn't know he was tearing up. Alice felt her border of darkness receiving some light onto her shoulder, making it nearly completely wet, burning the dark world inside herself but somehow the darkness became even deeper by the burning judgment of the light.

[What should I do? To make him feel better, Alliter, do you have any idea?]

Alliter floated in the air and looked at Alice from behind Sana, her voice blaming. "Are you stupid? Just talk openly about what you're feeling." Alliter looked away while hiding her face. For some reason there was darkness, but it could be involved with this darkness, this unit of darkness had been abandoned by the creator of the world. The God just played with this darkness as a sacrifice for the development of her own dream world.

Alice was reluctant. She really didn't know... she took a long breath and said, her voice trembling while her hands clung to Sana very tightly. Sana was in deep sadness and didn't notice it.

She stroked his hair and looked into his eyes. But Sana avoided her gaze, though Alice grabbed his head to force him to face her. Sana was very strong; he bore this pain very well. He really didn't want Alice to see his weak face.

Sana forced a smile. "I'm ugly right now, this is not a good time." Sana moved his head again but Alice didn't let him do it. Sana didn't know what to do in this case, his face became red while Alice constantly kept looking at him.

Alice blamed him in a soft voice. "You're not grateful, you know. You need to live for the present, not for the past."

Sana's eyes widened. He couldn't believe this was the Alice he knew, his eyes shaking. Alice made him feel calmer, even just her voice was enough for him.

[In my childhood, it was just a nightmare, but I never gave up because I knew I still had someone who would truly treasure me in the future.]

Alice spoke in a serious voice while stroking his cheek. "You know, maybe this world looks very cruel and evil, but there is still some happiness waiting for you. Pain, suffering, loneliness, whatever negative things, will make you stronger..."

[I lie to myself. If I lose him, that's the worst case. I will die. What kind of lie am I?]

Her hands clung to his arms. Sana noticed. "You're right, I need to live for the present, not for the past. The important thing I have right now is you." His face looked sad.

Alice shook her head. "No, you're still lying to me? What still makes you feel regret?"

Sana was reluctant, his voice soft. "Not meeting you sooner..." His face turned a little red while his eyes looked down to avoid her gaze.

Alice giggled. She forced Sana to look at her. In a teasing voice, "Why are you hiding your beautiful face?"

Sana looked into her eyes in a clumsy way. "..."

Alice teased his face while moving it from every angle to see every shy aspect of Sana. Sana realized it, his voice trembling. "Alice, this is so embarrassing, you know."

Alice didn't stop and continued teasing him. Sana didn't hate it or feel annoyed by her actions. He knew she was trying to make him feel better like the Alice he knew in the past.

Alice was still unsatisfied while Sana kept silent and let her do whatever she wanted. Like she was the controller of his body, not him. And then Alice attacked him by tickling his stomach.

Sana was very shocked by her actions, his voice breaking off in some moments while being attacked by her. "Alice... s...t...o...p... i.t."

Alice mischievously and stubbornly shook her head. "No."

And then finally Sana giggled because of her tickling in a happy voice. "I lose, my queen, you're the winner now."

Alice stopped while looking at Sana's smiling face. Her face looked satisfied.

Sana spoke honestly to her. "I feel like I'm healing because of you, darling."

Alice was startled and then smiled widely, somehow dangerously. "I want to hear more, DARLING."

Sana giggled in an embarrassed voice, his face showing how badly she affected his life. With no choice, his face blushed while he kept calling her all night. "Darling, Darling, Darling, I love you..."

Alice nodded her head in her own happy melody.

While Sana mixed happiness, embarrassment, and feeling bad at the same time. "How long do I have to keep calling you Darling?"

Alice was still inside her world. "Just until you get used to it."

Sana in despair. "No way, you are tormenting me with horrendous shame."

Alice in a dangerous voice. "Yes, I will torment you for the rest of your life, darling..."

And then the atmosphere became silent.

The room completely became dark when the whole eclipse happened.
