"How long would it take to put something like this together?" Raina asked Graham.
Graham glanced at the others before answering. "That depends on how much they modified. A shipping container isn't designed to open from the bottom. If someone wanted to make that possible, they'd have to reinforce the frame, alter part of the floor and install a locking mechanism strong enough to hold everything in place until it was deliberately released."
"And the crane?"
"The crane would only need a way to trigger the release. A transmitter, a receiver and the right connection between them."
Raina thought about the container suspended over the water and the control panel she had found beside the crane. "So it was planned."
"Definitely."
"Which means whoever did it had access to the port."
"Or had someone who did."
Raina turned toward Toshiro. "Find out who had access to that crane. I want to know who maintained it, who was authorized to use it and whether anyone accessed it recently."
