Inside Dagon's Domain, Kenjaku was busy making intense preparations to cause trouble at the upcoming Goodwill Event in three days.
Mahito lay on a beach chair, bored, toying with a human he had twisted in his hands.
"Geto, I'm really bored right now, and the materials I captured a few days ago are running out. Can I go out and have some fun?"
Kenjaku said helplessly, "The plan is about to start. If you run into some powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers outside and something happens, it will seriously affect the plan."
Mahito, however, looked indifferent. After all, he knew that most Jujutsu Sorcerers couldn't do anything against his Cursed Technique. He was basically invincible from the start, so he didn't take Kenjaku's words to heart at all.
Seeing this, Kenjaku had no choice but to let him go out.
After leaving, Mahito wandered around looking for places with strong negative emotions—Cursed Spirits loved such places.
Eventually, he found a dilapidated cinema and walked inside.
As soon as he entered, he noticed there were only five people in the theater. A small group of three was laughing wantonly and talking loudly.
There was also a thin boy with shoulder-length black hair. Even from a distance, Mahito could feel the thick negative emotions he held toward the three loud people, and he could also sense that he possessed significantly more Cursed Energy than an ordinary person.
"Oh. A human with the talent of a Jujutsu Sorcerer but who doesn't know it? Interesting. Perhaps he'll be a good material."
As for the last person, he was an ordinary boy wearing a white shirt with short black hair. He had no negative emotional fluctuations and was just sitting quietly in the corner. Mahito quickly lost interest in him and walked toward the group of three.
Yoshino Junpei noticed this strange man with a face full of stitches. He watched as Mahito slowly walked toward the three, opened his arms to hug them from behind, and said softly, "Hey, talking loudly in the cinema is very rude."
But the three didn't react at all and continued to laugh wantonly. With a surge of Cursed Energy, the laughter stopped abruptly. When Mahito left, only three strange, inhuman corpses were left in the seats.
Afterward, under Yoshino Junpei's terrified and curious gaze, Mahito sat down beside him.
Shin, who had been sitting in the corner eating popcorn, brushed the crumbs off himself, stood up, and sat on the other side of Yoshino Junpei.
This move by Shin confused both Yoshino Junpei and Mahito. Yoshino Junpei looked left and right, not knowing what was happening.
Shin asked, "What's wrong? There's no one on your other side. What are you looking at?"
Mahito's expression remained unchanged, and he continued to sit there without moving. After all, wasn't it normal for ordinary people not to be able to detect him?
But Yoshino Junpei's eyes widened. He looked sharply at Mahito, recalling his inhuman appearance and what had just happened. A chill shot from the soles of his feet straight to his skull, making him shiver involuntarily.
Trembling, he asked, "Then... do you need something?"
The veins on Shin's forehead suddenly bulged as he released all the pent-up frustration of the past few days.
"Need something? Do you know that for the past three or four days, aside from training, I've been following you? It sounds like a pervert's behavior, but I really have been tailing you. I can understand that you like watching movies, but can you please stop watching horror movies? If I hadn't finally waited until today, I wouldn't have been able to take it anymore."
Before he finished speaking, Shin suddenly threw a punch. Mahito, who had been leaning in to eavesdrop on the gossip, had his face caved in by the punch and was sent flying several meters, slamming into the wall.
Mahito said, "Ugh... So you are a Jujutsu Sorcerer? I didn't even sense your Cursed Energy."
"That goes without saying. Powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers can control their own Cursed Energy, it's common knowledge. But then again, you are just a mere Cursed Spirit, so it's normal that you wouldn't know."
After saying this, Shin quickly lowered a Curtain to shroud the entire cinema.
"Yoshino Junpei, right? Please run away now. Once you get out of the cinema, call this person."
As he spoke, Shin tossed his phone to him and charged straight toward Mahito.
After fully restoring his face, Mahito turned his hands into two long blades and charged at Shin.
"It just so happens I don't have any Jujutsu Sorcerer materials yet. Although you seem to be just a student, you'll suffice."
Instantly donning a full enchanted Netherite Armor Set, Shin swung the trident in his hand, which was emitting waves of purple light, and smashed it down onto Mahito's head.
Bang!
The trident and the dual blades collided. The blades that Mahito had turned his hands into were smashed instantly, but Mahito immediately turned his hands into tentacles to entangle the trident, and the tips of the tentacles pierced toward Shin.
Shin kicked Mahito's chest, let go of the trident with both hands, and jumped back.
Mahito flung the trident away and morphed his hands into chainsaws that glinted with a cold light, swinging them at Shin. All the chairs in the way were sliced through like tofu, showing their sharpness.
Mahito's attack methods were quite monotonous, limited to transforming his body for attacks and using his hands to alter others' souls to cause death. The latter method required using an untransformed hand to make direct contact with the target's body, which was quite restrictive.
Shin placed a bedrock wall directly in front of him. Mahito's chainsaws struck it, making clanging sounds and sparking a few flashes of fire, but they couldn't even scratch the surface of the bedrock.
Mahito turned his hands back to their original form and stared solemnly at the bedrock wall in front of him. He might know who the student in front of him was.
Kagura Shin!
The student who could defeat Jogo head-on and could use Domain Expansion—he couldn't win against him.
Sizzle!
Before he knew it, several glowing TNTs suddenly appeared at Mahito's side, forcing him to jump in the other direction.
Boom... Boom...
A series of explosions kicked up a cloud of dust, incidentally masking the sound of something cutting through the air.
Bang!
A collision sound and the dripping of blood were heard from within the dust.
When the smoke cleared, Shin was holding the trident from earlier, and a large hole had been gouged into Mahito's chest by the Loyalty enchanted trident.
A normal Cursed Spirit would certainly have been exorcised after sustaining such a fatal injury, but Mahito's Cursed Technique ensured that all attacks other than soul attacks only consumed his Cursed Energy. Even if he were blown into smithereens by non-soul attacks, he could reassemble based on his soul.
