Vallen stood on the floating steel plate, watching the ocean for a while. His mind slowly processing what had just happened and what he had just met.
"Sigh*" Vallen breathed out as he placed his hand on his face and rubbed his eyes, already stressed about what was to come. But he couldn't stress for long.
"Alright, let's sort out what we know and don't know," Vallen said to himself as he sat down on the metal raft and began.
"So what do I know? I know that I was reborn in this new life inside a dead corpse of all things. I know that this Earth and mine are the same, but from what I got from the... Storyteller, is that we have different histories? I think? I mean, there is something called Arcana and Prana, and on my Earth, such things never existed. We definitely didn't have people with powers, that's for sure," Vallen muttered as he stared into the water.
As he stared, his mind drifted back to Helper. The system that allowed him to see his abilities. It is helpful, but the only problem was that he had no clue how to bring it up.
"... I should have asked him how to bring out Helper," Vallen muttered as he groaned.
"Alright, maybe it can be brought out if I do a certain thing?" Vallen said as he stood up. He stretched a bit before breathing in.
"Open!" Vallen shouted as he shot his arm forward, his palm open wide as though he was commanding something.
"..."
But nothing happened.
"Appear!"
"..."
"I summon you!"
"..."
"Open Sesame!"
"..."
"Helper!"
"..."
"System!"
"..."
Vallen continued shouting various words, striking different poses or using different tones. At one point, he even thought of just saying the keywords in his head. But nothing happened.
"Ugh! How do I summon Helper!" Vallen groaned as he scratched his head vigorously. Frustration is slowly building up like an active volcano.
"What did Storyteller do to summon Helper?" Vallen questioned as he scratched his head more vigorously.
"-Anyways, I know it's going to be hard to understand your ability and how to use it properly, especially since you have no clue what the hell is going on in this world. So I left you a little helping hand called 'Helper.'" As the Storyteller said this, it snapped its free finger and soon a black screen appeared before the man."
"Right! He snapped his finger! But would that work? I mean, they are a God, so maybe it was just an easy shortcut for them?" Vallen muttered as he stared at his right hand. After thinking for a bit, he just breathed out, "It wouldn't hurt to try."
With his right hand, Vallen snapped his finger. A loud clicking sound shot from his finger, and a second later, a black screen appeared.

Name: [Vallen Flint]
Age: [20]
Gender: [Male]
Mark: [None]
Abilities: [Prana Blood], [Twisted Touch], [Twisted Mind], [Twisted Form]
Items: [?]
—
"..." Vallen stared at the screen for a few seconds before sighing, "you have things to do. So just forget it and move on."
He clicked on his Abilities one by one and slowly read them.
—
[Prana Blood]- An ability that allows the user to have all the Arcana in their body replaced with Prana. Any Arcana that makes contact with the Prana will be changed into Prana, and any Wielder of Arcana who absorbs this Prana will have their own Arcana transform into Prana.
—
"Okay, so this ability allows me to have Prana instead of Arcana. Meaning I am different from other ability users, now, whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. Time will tell. Hopefully it's a good thing though."
—
[Twisted Touch]- An ability that allows the user to be able to see and interact with the Twisted. The nearby Twisted will not view the user as a threat, but rather as one of their own. Some will even go out of their way to follow your commands, though not everyone will.
—
"From what the Storyteller said, Twisted seems to be a very aggressive being, or beings. I think regular people would have to be wary about them, but from what it says, I might be safe. Though I don't really know how far the 'one of their own' goes. For all I know, the Twisted might be aggressive to all and probably will attack other Twisted."
—
[Twisted Mind]- An ability that allows the user to weave the forms of Prana into a gaseous form before being absorbed into the user's body. Where their form and ability are stored, hidden from any darting eyes. The host's main body will not be able to use stored abilities and stored abilities will not be lost. Current abilities stored: 0
—
"Alright, this confuses me somewhat. It's probably because I have no clue what Prana is or what it looks like. But since it has Twisted in its name, it probably has something to do with them."
—
[Twisted Form]- An ability that allows the user to use any stored ability to create a Twisted of their own desire, in which they can pilot or command. But if there are abilities that clash with one another or a form that cannot hold said abilities, then the form will fail. Current forms made: 0
—
"So basically, I can move around without using my actual body or give commands. Though I do wonder how far I can take this ability?"
Once Vallen was done reading his abilities, he stared at the rest of his system. Making mental notes on what certain things can and can't do. Such as the Mark category.
"Can I get a Mark? I mean, I am awakened and have abilities. But then again, Storyteller did say only Wielders can get them, and I think all Wielders rely on Arcana. So, because of the fact that all my Arcana are replaced with Prana due to [Prana Blood], I don't think I will ever get one. But is me not having a Mark going to be a problem? I mean, if I ever get rescued from this... situation, will they question the fact I have abilities yet don't have a Mark?"
Vallen sat back down and rested his butt on the metal surface, crossing his legs as he thought, "I hope it doesn't give me problems because of the fact that I don't have a Mark. But it might be best for me to hide the fact that I have abilities. Maybe? I mean, I have them so is it a good thing to hide them?"
Vallen groaned as he had an eternal battle with himself. On one hand, hiding his ability would increase his odds of not bringing trouble. But on the other hand, he has abilities, and constantly hiding them feels like it would be a waste.
"Alright! That situation is probably a long way off. So let's first understand my abilities and make my choice after I know what it actually does," Vallen said as he stood up once again.
"Now the only problem is, how do I use them?"
