The tides were calm.
The waves were tranquil.
The night was quiet.
The wind was gone.
Under the water, unseen by all.
A beast lurked.
Its maw open for all.

Vallen had his eyes closed as he breathed out. His hands rested under his head, his legs swaying back and forth. His hair waved in the cold air. It was very calm and nice.
Not that far, Rose stood tall, its non-existent eyes watching over the waters. Its gaze lingered in a single spot. Under the water, a school of fish was swimming by, the blue light under their flesh glowing brightly.
Rose glared at the blue light, small bits of roots crept out of its black, smoky skin. The roots slithered and twitched, ready to launch into the water to skewer the fish.
"Don't," Vallen commanded, one of his eyes open as he glanced at Rose. Rose stopped his roots mid-motion, his smoke squirming for a bit before the roots retreated back in. Rose just looked back into the ocean for a moment before walking away.
Watching Rose walk to another corner, Vallen could only shake his head as he closed his eyes.
The time was the peak of the night. The moon was full and its white glow illuminated the water. It was a beautiful sight.
"Shame I have to keep an eye on Rose," Vallen said as he glanced at Rose, watching as he saw Rose stare into the water once again. Vallen watched for a bit before freeing his right hand from under his hand and raising it up into the air.
Soon, Prana flowed out and formed an egg the size of a marble. The egg slowly rippled before cracking. Black smoke seeped out and soon it cracked.
What came out was a small, spider-like creature made of black smoke, with its six legs replaced by arms and its face just a single giant eye. Small black embers would sometimes hop from its back and fly into the air. This would have been terrified normal people, if not for the fact that it was just as big as a regular spider. So small that you wouldn't see it unless you actually looked for it.
The spider creature crawled around Vallen's arm, its single eye looking at him as it crawled around.
"You will be Eye Spy," Vallen said as he snapped his finger.
—
[Eye Spy]- A twisted with the appearance of a spider made out of black smoke, with its six legs replaced with human arms. A single eye where its face is located, with black embers jumping off its back. The same size as a regular spider. Abilities- [Split Evade]. [Eye Beam], [Living Mail]
—
"You are quite cute," Vallen said as he tapped the spider's head. The spider didn't react as it just scurried off his arm and onto the raft.
"Hopefully, you can help me get off this raft," Vallen muttered as he closed his eyes and pondered. There were many things he did while on the raft. Such as discovering the size of the Avatars that he made, really didn't matter if their eggs were small or too big. He also discovered that he could create Avatars that didn't need abilities, though they don't usually last long. Only up to half an hour and they aren't really that strong.
At least when he sent some of them to face off against Rose. With some being torn apart from Rose's roots and others torn apart from his spears. So they were going to mainly be used as expandables, maybe?
It feels wrong to create something just for it to die the next second. But still, it was good that he at least knew that he could do this.
Also, Vallen decided to change the way he called his Avatars, or at least the ones created without abilities. He decided to call those with abilities Avatars, and those without simply Fake Twisted or just Fakes. Since they are not really a Twisted.
Maybe?
He still didn't know what an actual Twisted looked like or how they acted, so calling them Fakes sort of made sense.
As for the new abilities, they were as follows.
—
[Split Evade]- An ability that allows the user to split apart and create multiple dopplegangers. These dopplegangers will have the same strength as the user, but will also have every injury or illness that the original has.
[Eye Beam]- An ability that allows the user to shoot out small beams of energy from their eye. The more eyes the user has, the weaker the beams.
—
[Eye Beam] was a good ability if you were born with only one eye, and thankfully, Eye Spy was born with one eye. Now [Split Evade] was so useful, not only does it have the ability to make more of one target, but it also has the ability pairs very well with [Eye Beam].
Imagine having a constantly splitting enemy that is shooting powerful beams at you. That in itself is going to be terrifying to fight, but now imagine if the enemy is so small that you can barely see him. That would not only be tiring, but also so annoying.
As for [Living Mail], well, it was just there and Eye Spy was meant to be a spy.
Vallen rested his hand back under his head as he smiled.
As he rested, Rose stared at a spot in the ocean. Its gaze lingered on that spot far longer than any other spot before. Though nearby there was a large school of fish swimming by, its gaze didn't waver. Roots slowly crept out from its flesh as it kept its gaze on the water.
Under the water, a giant maw opened its mouth wide and devoured several fish whole. Blood leaked from its maw as it swallowed its fish in a single gulp.
Rose's gaze stared down the being, his eyes seeing a giant blue energy inside of it. It raised its hand up and prepared to shoot out its roots.
"Hey, don't," Vallen said as he opened his eyes and stared at Rose.
Rose didn't move for a moment before dropping its arm down. Watching as the being swam deep under the water, either of its own volition or because of Rose. But whatever the case is, the being wasn't going to bother them for the night.
At least for this night.
