Chapter 13 - 013 | The Sentimental Sister & The Domineering Daughter

As Reyansh walked down the corridor with the visiting card of the new principal, his mind went over the conversation again. But he drew blank trying to get a read on her.

'Nope, nothing. She appeared sincere but I have a feeling that it wasn't that simple.'

He took out the card, it read:

Arpita Mukherjee

The Principal & True Indigo-Class Hunter

Stream ID: Black_Nails09

Contact No: +91XXXXX-XXXXX

'True Indigo, she is a S-rank hunter. Well, that doesn't change anything for me, at least not yet. I just have to keep doing what I need to do.' He decided.

'For now, let's just enjoy today then I have go over skill or talents I can copy from my two subscribers,' He planned in his mind as he stood outside meeting hall.

Exhaling once, he opened the door, "Vanu, let's get your things. We are going eat outside today." He addressed.

"Oh, brother. Did you meet the principal? What did she say?" Vanya asked immediately upon seeing his brother's face.

"About the principal, you didn't tell me you guys have a new principal?" he asked.

"Yeah, it has been around little more than a week. You were always busy and never came to school so I didn't thought of mentioning it." She explained.

"Hmm, you are right about that. So hurry up," he responded.

Vanya quickly left the room to get his school bag with a small smile while Reyansh waited.

After she left, he sat down on the sofa and closed his eyes, breathing calmly.

It started 3 years ago, when he failed to awaken, he always felt he was getting crushed by his own expectations and pressure from the world.

However, for the first time in a long time, he felt light. By no means, the weight on his shoulders had reduced but this responsibility is of his own making.

The dream of walking on stars to becoming the undefeatable hunter, even his dreams had come a long way.

As he enjoyed the feeling of being lightweight, he took out his phone and booked a cab online.

After that he just sat there with his eyes, his guard was still up but more relaxed, like readying himself for a journey of his own choice.

These few minutes had become the moments where he felt more relaxed than his own bed.

"Brother, are you sleeping?" Vanya's voice broke him out of his relaxed state.

"No, I was just resting. Let's go," he replied with a smile as he stood up.

Both siblings walked out from school, neither of them talked. There were some whispering between student as Reyansh passed through, but none were noteworthy enough for his to pay any attention.

As they exited the school, both stood a bit far from the school gate. Vanya finally opened her mouth.

"Are we waiting for a cab, brother?"

"Yes."

"Did you get my gift, brother?"

"Yes."

"So, from where did you copy that letter?"

"What do you mean, copy? I wrote that myself, stupid."

"Are you sure? Because my sister in that letter was caring about her brother."

"Humph! I will never write something like that then," she retorted as she turned her face away.

Suddenly, Reyansh put his hand on Vanya's head, causing a reaction out of her.

"Wh-What are you doing, brother? I am in front of school, remove your hand," she spoke with a flustered voice and swung her head to remove the hand.

"Told you, that sister of mine in the letter was sentimental, not like you," he remarked as he removed his hand.

"Then go thank that sister, leave me alone," she feigned being hurt.

"Thank you my sentimental sister, that was the most precious gift ever. I as a magnanimous brother, thank you from bottom of my heart." He spoke with his face in front but eyes focused on Vanya.

As he finished speaking, there was a genuine smile on her face, though she didn't say anything.

Looking at her, Reyansh didn't let of chance to tease her again.

"Why are you smiling? I thanked my sentimental sister, not you."

For a second, neither spoke but both smiled.

A few seconds later, she turned with slight furious eyes and mock punched his left arm.

"You are bad big brother, I am never writing something like that again." She complained.

"Hahaha...and here I thought you really were my sentimental sister." He laughed.

"I am complaining to mother when she wakes up," she commented.

"Okay, it was very good letter, thanks," he relented after mention of mother.

"No use, I am gonna complain," She insisted.

"Okay, sorry for stretching this for a bit. No need to bring mother into this" he apologized softly.

"Hmm...if you say, 'thank you magnanimous sister for the gift.' I may think about it," she spoke with a mischievous smile.

However, the next moment, a car stopped in front of them. The driver inside, rolled down the window and asked, "Are you Reyansh Kaul and did you booked cab for two?"

"Yes," he answered as he stepped forward and opened the gate, "After you, my magnanimous sister."

Vanya entered the car with a triumphant smile followed by Reyansh.

As the car started moving towards its destination, Vanya asked, "So where are we going brother? Are you going to spend all ten thousand credits I gifted you?" she looked at him questioningly.

"We are going to Restaurant then after lunch we can go for a bit of shopping. And chill, you don't need to worry about credits, I will tell you when we get home," he answered.

Then both became silent, watching out through window.

'Should I ask her about the confrontation with that guy?' he wondered for a moment.

'Nah, later. There's no need to sour her mood and spoil her smiling face,' he concluded.

The car moved through traffic as both became silent for a moment, just happy in each other company. While something else was taking place, far-far away.

As Reyansh took his first step towards his dream by clearing the first dungeon. Someone else was planning, so that his second step would lay the foundation of the Undefeatable Hunter.

Apex Dimension, A07, Radiant Star,

Abode of Stellar Dragons

A humongous dragon with his two wings that spanned kilometres, giving off a shine of a blazing star mixed in with the darkness that comes from a dead star.

His entire body was resting leisurely, with scales so tough that won't even scratch after being bathed in a supernova.

The eyes of the dragon were closed but just gazing upon his closed eyelids gave a feeling that he can see through everything.

The air around him was bending unnaturally, like in presence of something far greater than a black hole.

Suddenly, a relatively small Dragonoid human flew straight towards the dragon resting upon something that resembled empty space.

The Dragonoid human, even though miniscule compared to the dragon resting, had a phenomenal aura around him.

He landed a bit far away from the dragon and got down on his knees.

"Greetings his majesty, the Stellar Emperor. Your daughter, princess Sandra is requesting a meeting with your majesty." He stated his reason for appearance.

Just as the closed eyelid of the dragon opened, the area was filled with luminosity so intense that even a thousand sun would pale in front of light coming from dragon's eye.

The light faded slowly, still it's intensity was so high that mighty Dragonoid could barely look up.

"Oh, does she need something? Otherwise, generally she would have just barged in." The dragon spoke, the air underwent changes that would not even be registered by human or superhuman senses.

"Let her in," The Stellar Emperor commanded.

Within few moments, a teenage girl with beautiful horns and huge white golden wings, flew towards the dragon.

The girl was neither a dragonoid nor appeared fully dragon rather, a dragon taking human form.

The light from dragon's eyes which was illuminating the place, dimmed compared to the shine from the face which could win over beauty of any cosmic phenomenon.

The landed near the dragon and bowed, "I, Sandra Ciel Von Nova, greet the Stellar Emperor," she said respectfully.

"Oh..oo...you definitely need something, my daughter," The dragon spoke light-heartedly, his majesty as an Emperor or Monarch of his race was nowhere to be seen.

"Speak, child of my blood, you never bow unless it's something important. What's the reason behind all this politeness?" he asked.

"Haha...I still can't hide anything from you, father," the girl, Sandra spoke with slight laugh.

"It's million year too soon, my little star," the father lovingly responded.

"Well, I have a proposal for you, father," she stated the reason of her visit.

"Proposal instead of a request, go on, I am listening," the Stellar Emperor responded, amidst the vast bright eyes of Dragon Emperor, there was tint of curiosity over her daughter words.
