ELARA'S POV.
"I don't think it's working, I thought to myself.
He was nervous and uneasy yet he was unmoved. George was silent as though studying body movement, reading my pulse with his eyes, waiting for me to slip up and show that I was scared.
"Answer me," I barked, raising my phone in the air. "You think this is a joke."
"I know it's not a joke," he tried to maintain an untouched aura but he was slipping off whenever he tried to adjust his suit. "I never thought you would be brave enough to pull this shit."
"Well believe it. You pushed me to the edge, Mr George. Now give me your damn answer."
He tilted his neck slightly to the right and glanced at the door, then he fixed his gaze at me again.
"Elara, don't make a decision you will regret in the future. Are you sure you want to quit after the milestone we've achieved? You are just at your peak, trust me you don't want anything clipping your wings."
