Lina could only watch her son helplessly. Even so, she let out a quiet sigh of relief, knowing that he no longer had to suffer each time the fever returned.
"Thank you, Your Grace. We have been here for almost two months, and you have always accompanied him whenever he went outside in thin clothing. Every time he had a fever, you were also the one by his side, helping him through the pain. Even these words of thanks cannot fully express my gratitude."
Caelis frowned, clearly displeased by her words. He had thought their relationship was gradually growing closer, yet she still spoke with such formality. It felt as though an invisible wall stood between them, and he did not know how to break it.
