The system's notification chimed in her mind, and combined with the pitch-black world around her, Faye Yardley couldn't help but feel her mood sour.
'I was just wondering what the new event would be,' she thought. 'I never expected a natural disaster plus restless creatures from the deep sea.'
'This shouldn't be a huge problem, right?'
But looking at the black clouds that seemed on the verge of collapsing, Faye Yardley knew things weren't as simple as they appeared.
The first person she thought of was Dahlia White. There had been a similar event before, and it was all thanks to her swallowing most of the black clouds in their small region. The resulting storm was just an ordinary severe storm and didn't cause many casualties.
Having thought of her, Faye naturally tried calling right away, but Dahlia was apparently busy with something, as the call went unanswered.
