After the most important part of the wedding concluded, Nora Nash said, "I'm heading out," and then slipped away without a sound.
Faye Yardley blinked. 'Shouldn't the best part of a wedding be the food?'
'Leaving without even eating? What a waste.'
Momo squeezed through the crowd to her side, looking around. "Where'd he go?"
"He left."
"Tsk. He just left you here all by yourself?"
Faye Yardley gave him an odd look. "What, were you expecting something else?"
Momo let out a dry laugh. "Heh. Since he's gone, I'm leaving too. Faye, don't forget, we'll be waiting for you on the other side."
"Okay. You're not eating either?"
"What's so good to eat here? For me..." Momo suddenly leaned in close to Faye Yardley, his ice-cold hand touching her neck. "Your blood is far more tempting than any of that food."
SWAT!
Swatting his hand away, Faye Yardley rolled her eyes at him. "Stop drooling. Otherwise, I might not be able to stop myself from slapping you."
