When Holly still wouldn't acknowledge her, Lynn Fletcher spoke cautiously, "Sister?"
Holly Wyatt shot her a cold glance, then pulled out her phone. "Which hospital?" she typed.
Lynn Fletcher's eyes lit up the moment she saw the text. Her gentle, doe-like eyes filled with relief. "I'll take you! It's very close by!"
Holly Wyatt lowered her gaze, offering no response.
The time she had spent with the Fletcher family two years ago hadn't been pleasant. She had even been nearly forced into a marriage with a man she had never met.
But during her time with the Fletchers, while Mrs. Fletcher had also pressured her to marry, Holly could still sense that her mother genuinely had her best interests at heart. She was just too stubborn, unwilling to listen to what Holly wanted.
Now that her mother was in the operating room, she still wanted to go check on her. After all, she couldn't be cold and unfeeling; her adoptive parents had raised her to be compassionate and principled.
