"Did Yves fall from here?" Timothy Reginald was half-kneeling at the cliff's edge, his voice choked with sobs.
Victor Ashworth nodded. "Yes."
When Seraphina Ashworth arrived at the cliff, she saw Timothy Reginald kneeling by the edge, his face a mask of grief. He seemed to have aged years in an instant. Hector Reginald was beside him, comforting him in a low voice. The whole atmosphere was so oppressive it was hard to breathe.
"Seraphina," Victor Ashworth said softly, looking up as she walked over.
"Victor, is Seraphina here?" Hector Reginald was a bit confused by Victor Ashworth's words. He looked up and saw the masked person who had just helped them. Then, a thought struck him, and he understood instantly. "You're Seraphina?"
'How could I not have guessed? Who else would know they were conducting drills here at this time and arrive so promptly?'
