Holly Sinclair stared at the peach flake cakes, momentarily stunned.
Ms. Beatrice smiled. "Mr. Sterling knows you can't stand bitterness and have trouble with herbal medicine, so he specially prepared your favorite peach flake cakes for you."
'How does he know?'
'He used to be completely clueless about what I like.'
Holly Sinclair picked up the bowl of herbal medicine and downed it in one gulp.
As the bitterness coated her throat, she quickly ate two pieces of peach flake cake.
The bitter taste in her mouth was finally gone.
Ms. Beatrice stayed to chat with Holly Sinclair. Pointing to a fruit tree in the yard, she said, "I haven't seen it in years. This tree has grown so tall."
'Haven't seen it in years?'
"Haven't you always been here?" Holly Sinclair asked, puzzled.
