"You're awake."
Tristan Sterling heard her footsteps and turned to look at her, breaking into a smile that showed his pearly white teeth.
It wasn't hard to see the man was in a fantastic mood.
Holly Sinclair remained silent.
'Is he this happy just because he gets to stay here?'
'Besides, it's past nine. Isn't he going to the office?'
The table was laden with a lavish breakfast.
A mix of Eastern and Western-style dishes, and every single one was something she liked to eat.
Holly glanced at the spread and blurted out, "How did you know I like these?"
"I begged Wendy Wyatt to tell me," Tristan replied, placing a bowl of freshly made fermented rice and egg custard in front of her.
'Begged...'
She frowned. "Tristan Sterling, you don't have to—"
"Holly, I don't mean anything by it. The baby is mine too, and taking care of you is something I should be doing." He looked at her deeply, his gaze gentle and full of affection.
His every word was sincere and heartfelt.
'Fine.'
