He released the wrist he was grabbing, because he no longer had a reason to stop the woman before him.
'Why desperately try to keep someone you don't even love? In the end, what would be left but a mess of sorrow?'

"If you're sure you're leaving now, let me see you off. After all, we once had a relationship that was fulfilling for both of us, in a way."
Jason Forrester forcefully suppressed the storm of emotions raging inside him.
'Even if the woman before him had her mind set on leaving, he would still see her off on this final part of her journey.'
"I don't need you to see me off. I've already called a car. I think it's incredibly awkward for us to be together. It's better for us to part ways and give ourselves a clean break."
"After all, you'll have someone you love in the future, and I'll have my own life to pursue. Dragging this out will just make it more awkward."
