KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK.
Leila was about to start a video call with her superiors to report on the operation when a sudden knock on her door instantly put her on high alert. She didn't let out a slow sigh of relief until she saw who it was through the peephole. She opened the door to welcome him in.
"Governor Huo, did you need me for something?"
She had seen Huo An slip away silently in his Kunpeng form earlier, realizing he didn't want to expose his identity, so she hadn't pressed the issue. But she hadn't expected him to seek her out the moment he returned. Was he afraid she would leak information about Liang He?
"Is it convenient to have a chat together?"
Together? With whom? Leila froze for a moment before looking at Huo An with sudden realization.
"Do you want to explain Liang He's situation to them personally?"
The "them" she referred to, naturally, were her superiors. However, Huo An shook his head decisively and pointed upward with an ambiguous gesture.
"Upstairs?"
