Summer Thorne slept very, very soundly.
She didn't wake until dawn. When she slowly opened her eyes, she was alone in the room.
Summer Thorne felt like she must have been dreaming. In her dream, she had seen Timothy York.
'It must have been a dream.'
'After all, he's far away in Eurenia. How could he have possibly returned so suddenly?'
She slowly sat up. In her daze, she thought she could sense a familiar scent.
Summer Thorne lowered her head and sniffed her pajamas.
It really did seem to carry the scent of cedar—his scent.
For a moment, she couldn't tell dream from reality. Just as she got out of bed, she suddenly heard the doorbell ring.
Summer Thorne walked to the door with some hesitation, looked through the peephole, and then opened the door.
Ivan Gray stood at the door, forcing a big smile. "Miss Thorne."
"Aren't you supposed to be in Eurenia...?" Summer Thorne asked, looking at him in confusion. She glanced around her apartment. "So, you really did come back?"
