Chapter 19 - I’ll Burn the World to Find You....

Keifer's POV

Three months.

That's how long it had been since she disappeared from my world like she was never meant to stay in it.

Three months of searching, tracking, breaking through systems that were supposed to be unbreakable—only to hit walls I couldn't see, couldn't break, couldn't even understand.

Every lead—dead.

Every attempt—blocked.

Every single time—nothing.

And the worst part?

I knew why.Because whoever had taken her away… didn't just hide her.

They erased her.

Even the League—the one thing that once controlled everything had removed me...and not just me alone Angelo too.

It was like someone had wiped the entire board clean and started a new game without us.

I tried everything.

Section E.Private investigators.Contacts I didn't even trust.Nothing.At one point—I even went to David.

The last person who saw her.I didn't ask.

I begged.

"David,I know you hate me..you can hate me all I want .. I don't give a fuck...but please just tell me if she contacted you or if percy and you had a conversation after you went to NYC," I said, my voice breaking in a way I didn't care to hide anymore. "Anything… one message… one call…"

But he just looked at me—guilt written all over his face.

"I tried, Keifer," he said quietly. "I tried reaching out… Percy, her… nothing's going through. I'm sorry and I don't hate you okay...I too want the same thing that you and everyone else wants....to see her and I'm trying but nothing is going through....im really sorry..."

Sorry.

That word meant nothing anymore.Because sorry didn't bring her back.Sorry didn't tell me if she was okay.Sorry didn't fix the fact that every single night—I was left alone with nothing but memories and regret.

So I stopped asking.And I started drowning.

Work in the day.Alcohol at night.Repeat.Because if I stayed sober long enough—

I'd remember too much.

Her voice. Her laugh. The way she looked at me like I wasn't broken. And that? That was worse than anything.

May 29.

Her birthday.

12:00 AM.

I stood in the middle of my room, staring at the large frame hanging on the wall.

Her picture.Right in the center.Like she owned the space.Like she owned me.I held the bouquet in one hand—blue roses.

Her favorite.

A box of chocolates in the other. And in my pocket—

A ring.

My fingers trembled slightly as I stepped closer.

"Happy birthday, Jay…" I whispered, my voice barely holding together.

I let out a soft, broken breath.

"I don't know where you are…" I admitted quietly. "I don't know if you're okay… if you're eating… if you're sleeping…"

My throat tightened.

"But I'm trying," I said, my voice cracking. "God, I'm trying so hard to find you…"

I laughed weakly, shaking my head.

"You'd probably yell at me right now… tell me to stop overthinking… to fix my face…"

Silence.

Just her smile staring back at me from that frame.

"I got you something," I muttered, pulling out the ring slowly.

My hands weren't steady anymore.

"They say you're supposed to do this right…" I whispered. "With the person actually in front of you…"

A tear slipped down.

"But you're not here."

My knees gave out before I could stop them.

I dropped down in front of the frame, the flowers slipping from my hand as I looked up at her.

"I was going to do it properly…" I choked out. "I was going to fix everything first… and then come to you… and ask you like you deserved…"

My breathing broke.

"But I don't even know if I'll ever get that chance now."

Tears fell freely.

Uncontrolled.

"I'm sorry," I whispered. "I'm so fucking sorry…"

For lying.For hurting her.For breaking something I should've protected.

"I love you," I said, my voice barely audible now. "I don't even know when it happened… but it did… and now I don't know how to exist without you in my life…"

My head dropped forward, resting against the floor as the sobs finally broke through.

"I'll find you," I promised weakly. "I don't care how long it takes… I don't care what I have to burn down…"

My voice faded.

"I'll find you…"

And somewhere between the tears… and the exhaustion…

I passed out.Right there.At her feet.

Morning came without asking.I didn't remember falling asleep.I just knew I woke up on the floor… my body aching… my head pounding.

But the first thing I saw—Was her.Still smiling from that frame.Like nothing had changed.Like everything hadn't fallen apart.

I stood up slowly.Didn't say anything.Didn't look back.

I just left.

Because if I stayed any longer—I'd break again.

I drove to the place that became close to my heart after the last time I went there with her...

The place hadn't changed.Still abandoned.

Still empty.Still holding memories that refused to fade. This was where she said it.

The first time.

"Mahal din kita,Keifer..."

~(I love you too, Keifer.)

I could still hear it.Clear as day.

I stood there, hands in my pockets, staring at the exact spot like if I looked hard enough—

She'd be there again.Smiling.Alive.Real.

"You meant it," I murmured under my breath. "Didn't you…?"

A hollow laugh escaped me.

"Yeah… of course you did."

Because she wasn't like me.She didn't lie about things like that.I stayed there longer than I should've.Longer than I needed to.But I couldn't leave. Not yet.Not from the only place that still felt like her.

By evening—They came.

One by one.No calls.No invitations.They just… knew.Section E.Every single one of them.Rory.Edrix.David.Cin.Blaster.Josh.Mayo.

Kit.Eren.Felix.Calix.Eman.Drew.Denzel.Even Grace—holding her baby.

Grazel Jay.

Named after her because Jay had been the reason that child existed. The reason they had fixed things. The reason something good had come out of all this mess.

Aries came too.Angelo beside him.

And for once—There was no tension.

No anger.Because whatever we had between us—It didn't matter anymore. Not today. We all gathered around her picture.Silence.Heavy.Unspoken.

"She used to yell at me for skipping classes," eren muttered softly.

A small, broken chuckle passed through the group.

"She punched me once," Mayo added. "Said I deserved it."

"You did," Felix replied quietly.

Another small laugh.

Then silence again.Because none of it filled the space she left.Cin didn't speak.

He just stood there.

Staring and I could see it—He was breaking.

Because she wasn't just someone to him.She was family. His sister. And losing her like this?

It was killing him.

One by one—they shared something.

A memory.A moment.A piece of her.Like they were trying to hold onto whatever was left.

But eventually—They left.Because staying hurt too much.And I didn't stop them.

Because I knew—I was the same.

By night—It was just me again.Standing in front of her.Silence filling the room like it belonged there.

I stepped closer slowly. My hand lifting to touch the edge of the frame.

"You see that?" I whispered. "They all showed up…"

A faint smile touched my lips.

"You really messed us all up, huh…"

My throat tightened again.

"But not as much as you messed me up."

I rested my forehead lightly against the frame.Closing my eyes.

"I'm still here," I murmured. "Still trying… still looking…"

A slow breath.

"I'm not giving up on you."

Because I couldn't.Because loving her—Was the only thing that still felt real. And even if she was gone…Even if the world had hidden her from me…Even if it took everything I had—

I would find her no matter what.

Because some promises—Aren't meant to be broken.

And she?

She was mine to fight for even if she never came back.

I'll let the world burn Jay if it meant I get to see you even once....and I will never think twice before doing it.....I promise you I'll find you soon Jay Jay....
