I was about to debate why this couldn't have just been done while I was in the bath chamber when I decided against it. Voicing anything against this would be me admitting his presence was affecting me.
"You are scaring her."
Fashire's words snapped me out of my thoughts, and I noticed how tense the servant was.
"Sorry." I let go of her, slightly feeling guilty.
"Is there a problem?" Fashire stood up. "You seem skittish—"
"Sit down," I pressed, slightly turning to glare at him.
At the last minute, I realised I hadn't commanded him. But he slowly sat back down, much to my surprise.
Shock rippled through the servants even though the older women tried not to show it on their faces. I ignored his grin, oddly irritating in a way. It felt like he had handed me that choice instead of me taking it from him.
"Please, continue," I said to the servants, ignoring his piercing stare as they took the robe off me.
