Three days later, Emily made a decision.
"If they want me," she told Sophia,"then we use that."
Sophia frowned.
"You're suggesting we bait them?"
Emily nodded.
"They're watching me. Following me. Waiting."
Alexander refused immediately.
"No."
Emily didn't back down.
"If we keep reacting, we lose."
Silence.
Then:
"We make them come to us."
Alexander stared at her for a long time.
Then finally said:
"If anything goes wrong—"
"It won't," Emily cut in.
But deep down—
She wasn't completely sure.
