Misa Amane was happy—dangerously happy. To her, being Kira's girlfriend was a dream come true, but her excitement was clouding her judgment. She had started sending more tapes to the news stations, but this time, she included details that only someone close to the investigation could know.
Inside his room, Light watched the news with a cold fury. "She's going too far," he thought, gripping his pen so hard it nearly snapped. "L is going to trace those details back to her, and if she falls, she takes me with her."
[Scene 2: L's Deduction]
At the Task Force HQ, L was crouching on his chair, staring at the latest tape. He wasn't looking at the screen; he was looking at the stamps and the postmark on the envelope.
"The Second Kira is impulsive," L said, dropping a sugar cube into his coffee. "Unlike the first Kira, this one wants attention. And they've made a mistake. The DNA on this envelope belongs to a female."
The room went silent. Detective Matsuda gasped. "A girl? So Kira could be a woman?"
"The second one is," L replied, his eyes flashing. "And she's been seen near Light Yagami's university."
[Scene 3: The Phone Call]
Suddenly, Light's phone rang. It was an unknown number. He answered cautiously.
"Light-kun," the voice on the other end said. It was L. "I'm at the university campus. I've just met a very interesting girl who claims to be a friend of yours. A blonde girl... Misa Amane. Why don't you join us for a coffee?"
Light felt a drop of cold sweat slide down his neck. L was already there. He had Misa in his grasp.

Light had to decide in seconds. If he denied knowing her, he'd look suspicious. If he went there, L would watch their every interaction to see if they were communicating as Kiras.
