Ten seconds passed. Light could hear L's steady breathing. Twenty seconds. L suddenly reached for his pocket, pulling out a chocolate bar and unwrapping it slowly.

From behind the bookshelves, Watari appeared, holding a tablet. "Light Yagami," L said, standing up. "I wanted to see your reaction at exactly forty seconds after you looked at your watch. Your face just gave me 90% certainty."
