Chapter 24 - [MAX] 24: Sold Out

The thought had barely crossed Cú Chulainn's mind when a razor-sharp pillar of ice shot straight toward him.

He dodged desperately, barely avoiding having his head taken clean off.

Cú Chulainn turned toward the source of the attack. Scáthach-Skadi stood with her staff raised, face completely expressionless, her voice as cold as ice.

"Were you just thinking something incredibly rude?"

For both Scáthach and Scáthach-Skadi, any mention of age was strictly forbidden. Bring it up in front of them and you'd better start worrying about your next life.

"N-no, of course not!" Cú Chulainn answered in a panic. He stared at her in utter confusion.

What exactly had Odin done while controlling his body? One moment he closed his eyes, the next he opened them to find someone who looked almost exactly like his teacher standing right in front of him.

But something felt different. This version of Scáthach seemed… more maidenly?

The moment that thought formed, a chill ran down his spine. He could feel himself being targeted—not just by the woman in front of him, but by something far beyond this world. A certain proud, beautiful, dual-wielding spear user.

The killing intent disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared. Cú Chulainn breathed a sigh of relief.

He looked at Scáthach-Skadi again. The sense of dissonance only grew stronger.

"Are you my Shishou?"

"No… that doesn't feel right."

He could tell that the 'Scáthach' standing before him was not the one he knew so well.

Adam noticed that Cú Chulainn had returned to normal and explained:

"Her name is Scáthach-Skadi. She is Scáthach, but only a part of her."

...

After listening to the explanation, Cú Chulainn closed his eyes in thought. Thanks to his Caster-class mentality, it didn't take him long to reach a conclusion.

"So I can just treat her as a Scáthach from a parallel world, right?"

Adam thought about it and nodded.

"Pretty much."

He glanced at Scáthach-Skadi to see if she had any objections. She remained silent, tacitly accepting the description.

Cú Chulainn looked at Adam and the rest of the Chaldea team. He had no memory of what happened while Odin was possessing him, but he could make an educated guess.

Adam must have summoned a Servant—most likely the one standing here—and the moment she appeared, Odin got scared and immediately logged off.

This only made him even more curious about Adam's identity. Just who was this kid? How did he have so many Servants? And why were they all so strange? He even managed to summon a parallel version of his own teacher!

Wait a minute…

A terrifying possibility suddenly occurred to him. If Adam could summon a parallel world version of his Shishou, didn't that mean he could probably summon the original one as well?

Cú Chulainn's gaze toward Adam instantly became filled with respect.

[Cú Chulainn Emotion Value +10]

Since he didn't remember Odin already revealing his identity and position, Cú Chulainn started to introduce himself again.

"I am—"

"No need for introductions," Adam cut in. "Odin already told us everything about your identity and position." He added one final blow: "Including your True Name."

Cú Chulainn: "..."

He fell silent, inwardly cursing that old bastard Odin.

In his view, while he and Chaldea shared the same goal, they weren't close enough for Odin to casually sell out his True Name. For a Servant, a True Name was one of their most important secrets. Revealing it was almost the same as exposing all their weaknesses.

Odin had completely sold him out.

Cú Chulainn was furious for all of three seconds.

Fine. Sold is sold!

Adam looked at Cú Chulainn. The fact that he was a Caster went against the original history of this Singularity. The Caster of Singularity F should have been Solomon, the King of Mages. A Caster-class Cú Chulainn appearing here was already highly abnormal. Adam suspected Odin was behind it.

At that moment, the communicator on Ritsuka Fujimaru's wrist lit up. It was Dr. Romani.

"Director, the freezing process has been completed."

Olga Marie nodded. "Good work, Romani."

Cú Chulainn looked curiously at the glowing device. "Is that a magical communication tool?"

Romani turned toward the new voice and was startled. "Another Servant? The team keeps growing…" Then he noticed Scáthach-Skadi and Medusa. "Wait, more than one! What on earth happened in the last thirty minutes?!"

Medusa felt an instinctive wave of disgust the moment she saw Romani. Cú Chulainn also thought the doctor looked like a complete pushover.

Adam noticed both of their reactions and sighed inwardly. It couldn't be helped. The incineration of Human Order was deeply connected to Romani, even if it had been unintentional.

Olga Marie suddenly thought of something and asked Cú Chulainn, "Since you're a Servant from this Holy Grail War, do you know what exactly happened here? Why did Fuyuki end up like this?"

She gazed out at the burning city. There was no trace of human life remaining. The entire area was engulfed in raging flames.

Adam also turned to Cú Chulainn. Although he hadn't managed to get any information out of Odin, perhaps the Irish hero knew something.
