As Isaac dives deeper into his true world, he saw the orb of condensed memories slowly expand as it mixes all the memories of when Isaac had learned something.
Isaac felt the strong pull again that took the memories in the first place, but he held it back this time, to slow down the speed at which he loses them. The droplets flowing out of Isaac slow down, but never fully stop.
Isaac still wasn't fully sure as to what he had to do, but he knew that right now he had to separate the memories from each other. Inside the true world, Isaac did not have a physical body, it was closer to a spiritual form that could move around freely inside the [Void].
Isaac pulled himself towards the orb. When he reached it, he held out his hand and grabbed at the muddled mess of memories.
Isaac opened his eyes, and he was back at his school on earth. James sat next to him as the sun slowly set on the horizon. The teacher was teaching the class about a formula to measure distance, but Isaac didn't pay much attention to it, as he reeled back from the dream he had just had.
James looked over at Isaac and spoke in his normal, refined tone.
"Are you okay, Isaac? You look a bit pale."
Isaac nodded to James, but as he turned to look at James, he saw light green mana pour out of every orifice of his body. Isaac reached out to grab the mana, but only grabbed at James's neck.
James began choking and attempted to pull Isaac off him, but to no success. Nothing about this place made sense to Isaac. If Isaac was able to see mana, then that must have meant that everything that happened in his dream was real.
James continued to claw at Isaac's arm, but it seemed to do nothing to him physically. Isaac paid him no attention and turned to finding why he was here, instead of his true world.
He looked around, and it seemed that only he and James were doing something out of the ordinary, as everyone else was just listened to the teacher. Isaac let go of James when his search didn't show anything worthwhile.
James fell out of Isaac's grasp and quickly sat back in his seat and returned to talking normally, like Isaac didn't just try to choke him out. James reached into his bag and brought out three books, all of which Isaac recognised as magic theory.
James handed Isaac the very familiar beginner book and began explaining magic theory to him, in a whisper so as not to get caught. Most of the things James mentioned were things he already knew, but some were along the way. His words began to make no sense, almost like a tape that was overwritten in parts.
By the time Isaac realised that was happening, the world around him had already changed to the cave that he lived in. Sat next to him was Tiy, who was explaining what a crescent bear was, which was something Isaac couldn't remember knowing anything about.
But as soon as Tiy finished speaking, his memories about this exact moment came flooding in. The world began to shift and change again, as dark blue mana similar to his own coated the world.
The world began to change when the mana reached out for it, so Isaac tried to slow it down, but the current of the mana was too strong, and made the world around him shatter, and reform into a new moment.
This time, Isaac was prepared for the mana, and as soon as he gathered his bearings, he poured out his mana from inside his body as far out as possible. Mana was a lot like a muscle, as the more it was used, the easier it would be, but due to Isaac never having to stretch his mana out of his body, it only went a few meters out of his body before crumbling under the stress.
The blue mana came back and changed the world again. Isaac began the fall into a loop of trying to hold back the mana just to fail, but slowly his mana became more malleable, but still nowhere near close enough to hold back the mana that was changing his memories.
Time passed slowly in this state, days, months, and years seemed to pass, but Isaac didn't stop trying. His spiritual body was torn and tattered, but that only made Isaac more determined to stop his memories from fading.
Isaac reached out to the blue mana as it flooded in again. After so long fighting the mana, Isaac was forced to learn how it worked. It started by targeting parts of the memory that Isaac didn't know that well, and then worked its way through like a parasite.
Isaac did the same to the mana by aiming for parts where it was thin and slowly taking over small chunks of it. After years of this, the blue mana was almost non existent, and Isaac's control over his own mana was the best it had ever been.
Isaac sat watching the memories flow past. He was following his life from the very beginning to remember all the details in his life. Every time he missed something, he would use the same technique as the mana from before, and replay the memory.
After years, Isaac finally reached the moment right before he entered his true world for the second time. Isaac had finally remembered everything that was lost, now he just had to leave this place that had plagued him for so many years.
Isaac poured his mana out to himself in the memory and began taking over its true world, just like the mana that had done it to him, and it was at this moment that Isaac was struck with realisation.
The mana that he had been slowly taking over was not some mystical power, but was his own mana from outside the true world, trying to keep him stable. Isaac stopped pouring his mana and instead focused it inside himself.
The next moment, he was back in the [Void] that held his true world. His hand was still inside the orb of condensed memories, but this time, they were not mixed yet, they were still separate and were still active inside his mind.
Isaac reached out and touched each memory and then began to separate them from the orb. Small drops that created Isaac's life became a line that looped around joining the end, and beginning together, creating the memory of what Isaac had just went through.
Isaac felt the pull from Isaac himself grow strong until he could not hold it back, and it pulled the chain of memories into his spiritual body. He felt deep inside him the formation of something far greater than himself.
It was his true world that was finally formed.
Far away beyond the mountains that confined the Glade, a woman dressed in black looked in the direction of the mountains. She stood up from the corpse of a fallen demigod and began walking towards them.
