This left the Kingpin double completely dumbfounded.
"This... is this guy really not your illegitimate son?"
"How can he be so indulgent?"
However, since Kingpin himself had no objections, as his double, he naturally didn't dare to have any. He quickly served tea and water to Ryan, attending to him from the side.
Ryan, completely indifferent to the Kingpin double's secret tattling, had already plugged the USB drive he got from Norman into Kingpin's computer and began reviewing the data within.
As for why he insisted on using Kingpin's computer, there were two reasons.
First, Kingpin's computer came with its own decryption and shielding devices, which could crack the USB drive's password lock and block any potential tracking or positioning devices inside.
Second, even if the signal were unfortunately traced, Ryan could shift the blame to Kingpin instead of his own home.
After all, he and Kingpin were friends, and aren't friends meant to be thrown under the bus?
Besides, even if Osborn Enterprises traced the IP to Kingpin, they wouldn't dare provoke this underground emperor and would just have to swallow their grievances.
Back to the topic at hand: the contents of the USB drive.
It contained records Norman left for Harry regarding projects that might treat the osborn family's genetic disease.
There were three video files in total.
The first one featured Peter in his spider suit on the cover.
Opening the video, it mostly showed Peter's various heroic acts on the streets of New York as Spider-Man.
Fortunately, Peter was cautious enough that Norman's people hadn't captured his true identity under the suit.
There wasn't much to see here; Norman simply wanted Harry to find a way to capture Spider-Man and use him to develop a spider serum to cure Harry's genetic disease.
Next was the second video. The cover showed a blonde woman in a white lab coat and Norman himself lying on a hospital bed.
Clicking the video, the exceptionally curvaceous blonde woman was extracting venom from the same kind of Super Spider that bit Peter.
After extracting the venom, the blonde woman took out Dr. Connors' lizard regeneration serum. Judging by the depth of the color, it was the failed version Dr. Connors had injected into himself.
Norman's secretary's delivery of the serum had been intercepted by Ryan halfway, so what this woman held could only be the remnants from Dr. Connors' lab.
But that wasn't the point. The point was how this woman combined the Super Spider venom with the lizard regeneration serum!
She actually poured both failed products into her mouth at once, mixed them in her oral cavity, and then spat them back out!
This method made Ryan frown deeply.
No wonder Norman became so disgusting after injecting that mixed serum; it turned out the production method itself was that revolting!
And this woman was no ordinary person either; she held Super Spider venom and lizard regeneration serum in her mouth and was perfectly fine!
However, after the woman injected the spat-out mixture into Norman, the bedridden Norman, who looked like he was on the verge of death, actually sat up as if experiencing a sudden burst of vitality!
Sure enough, 'imported' medicine is indeed better!
Norman spent his whole life searching for a way to alleviate his genetic disease, yet it wasn't as good as this divine female Doctor's 'imported' medicine...
At the end of the video, Norman, whose face had turned from deathly pale to grayish-green, warned Harry into the camera:
He said this was a last resort, and unless Harry's condition reached its final stage, it must never be used!
And if he really had to use this method to prolong his life, Harry should go find the blonde female Doctor who made the potion.
He had left some Super Spider venom and lizard regeneration serum with the Doctor, enough to make more alleviants... and that blonde female Doctor's name was... Ophelia Sarkissian!
At the end of the video, hearing Norman say that name, Ryan couldn't help but gasp.
No wonder that woman with the wavy hair looked familiar; she was HYDRA's famous Madame Viper!
Tsk, I didn't expect Norman to have ties with HYDRA. How troublesome... But even for HYDRA, they might not necessarily find any clues pointing to me from the ruins of Osborn Manor.
Moreover, Norman and HYDRA were likely just in a cooperative relationship. Even if HYDRA did find something, they wouldn't necessarily offend me for it.
After all, my name, venom, still carries some weight in the Dark World...
Shaking his head and dismissing these future concerns about HYDRA, he clicked on the third and final video.
The third video was labeled "Unknown," and the cover was a photo inside a space capsule.
Clicking the video, it really was a clip filmed in space.
In the video, besides the astronaut filming, two other astronauts were giving an introduction.
They first introduced themselves as being from the Life Foundation, then explained that they were traveling on the Life Foundation's LF1 spacecraft to space to collect biological samples from an alien meteorite floating outside Earth.
Then, the two displayed the four biological samples they had collected from the meteorite to the camera.
They were fluid-like lifeforms of different colors kept in four separate isolation chambers...
There was the largest silver-gray fluid lifeform, slightly smaller purple and yellow ones, and finally, the smallest black fluid lifeform.
According to the two space researchers, they had conducted simple experiments on these lifeforms.
They found that while the creatures showed no interest in Earth's plants, they were very interested in the various animals brought into space, parasitizing their bodies.
Their parasitism had both benefits and drawbacks.
The benefit was that the parasitized animals showed a significant increase in physical performance, such as strength, speed, reflexes, and self-healing... but the drawback was also obvious: the parasitized creatures not only became exceptionally irritable and aggressive in temperament,
but the parasitism wouldn't last long. The host would soon be drained of vitality and die.
Once the host died, the parasite would leave the dead host and gradually become weak over time.
So they speculated that these parasites cannot survive on their own for long and must enter a symbiosis with a host to survive.
Therefore, they temporarily named them... Symbiote!
Since the animals available as food for the Symbiotes on the ship were running low, they were preparing to return and bring them back to Earth for further research.
The estimated arrival date on Earth was December 25, 2008.
Ryan's brow quirked. Wasn't that Christmas next week?
So, was this a Christmas present prepared specifically for him?
A smile slowly curled on Ryan's lips as he stared unblinkingly at the Symbiote in the video. For the first time, something other than money and desire ignited a spark of passion in his heart.
