Chapter 31 - The Dormitory

They had a total of five successes, one of whom possessed the clone quirk Shin had mentioned to his teachers. All had support-type quirks—not ones that granted direct power, but ones that were incredibly useful and filled with potential.

After the fight with All For One, Shin had accidentally learned something crucial. The villain had let it slip that he had first gone to those two facilities, and the injury he bore had been inflicted by one of the individuals he had fought there. All For One had also revealed the quirks he had taken from them, though he was struggling to assimilate them due to their vestiges resisting him. This was why he had felt so much weaker when Shin and his comrades had fought him. But by now, he should have completely overwhelmed those vestiges and gained full control over the stolen quirks.

Just the thought of the other quirks—and the sheer strength All For One would wield once he mastered them—made Shin grateful for the contract he had with him.

All Might, Aizawa, and Midnight silently processed the implications, and the atmosphere in the room grew heavy.

"If this is true, then we are in for a difficult future. I can only hope it's not," All Might said grimly.

"Yeah, I really hope your theory is wrong, Shin," Midnight added.

But Shin simply shrugged. "Why the grave expressions? If it's true, let him come. We don't know what the future holds anyway."

Aizawa frowned. "How can you stay so calm knowing this?"

"Worrying won't change anything," Shin replied. "It's just a waste of time and energy. I'd rather focus on training myself."

"You're right," All Might said with newfound resolve. "When the time comes, we will face it. Until then, I'll give my all to train you all for that future."

Shin briefly considered telling them about the other quirks All For One had obtained, but he decided against it. There was no point in ruining the mood further.

Instead, he shifted the topic. "So, back to what we were discussing—why should I move into the dorms you're creating?"

Aizawa and All Might remained silent, seemingly out of arguments. But Midnight smirked slyly, "So you can live near me," she said playfully. "I'm such a sexy woman, after all, and you'd have the honor of staying nearby. And who knows? Maybe you'd even get the chance to do some adult stuff with me. After all, I'll also be living in the teacher dorms which is very near to the student dorms."

Aizawa and All Might shot her slightly disgusted looks, while Shin gave her an unimpressed stare. He wanted to say something, but he knew that if he spoke his mind, it would probably hurt her feelings. And since he didn't want to make their relationship awkward, he simply held his tongue.

Shin then turned to Aizawa and All Might, completely ignoring Midnight, as he rubbed his chin and squinted slightly. "Well… even though I don't gain anything from joining the dorms, I'll do it. Could be fun—I've never lived in a dormitory system before," he admitted. Then, after a brief pause, he added, "But before I agree, could you call Nezu for me? I don't have his number.

Aizawa, realizing they wouldn't be able to fully convince Shin, sighed before initiating a video call with Nezu. The call was quickly picked up, and after explaining the situation, Nezu let out a small chuckle.

"You guys really need to work on your resistance to people like him," Nezu said, amused. "He just manipulated the entire conversation to make it completely favourable for him."

Aizawa, Midnight, and All Might stiffened at the statement, their expressions betraying their shock.

"He was probably planning to make you call me from the beginning," Nezu continued. "And now, I'll have to agree to his demands, as long as they're not outright impossible—especially after that last bit about All For One fooling us. Since he's probably the only one who could put up a fight against All For One, we can't afford to deny him too much."

Shin simply smiled, already expecting Nezu to catch on to his tactics. With a quirk that granted unparalleled intelligence, it was only natural. Aizawa placed the phone on the table, allowing Shin to speak directly.

"So, what are your demands, Shin?" Nezu asked.

Shin leaned back casually. "Not much. Just that when you build the dorms, you reserve an entire floor for me and construct it according to the plan I gave Aizawa."

Aizawa opened the document Shin had handed him earlier and was immediately hit with the realization—Shin had planned this outcome from the very beginning.

"And I want my maids and butlers to be allowed to serve me there," Shin added.

Nezu hummed. "An entire floor, huh? Fine. Granted. As for the maids and butlers… are they trustworthy?"

"Absolutely. You can use a lie detection quirk to confirm that they are bound by a contract of silence and absolute loyalty."

"Alright, I'll have someone verify that," Nezu agreed.

"And keep in mind," Shin continued, his voice turning sharp, "they serve only me. I won't be using their services for hero-related matters, so don't ask me to order them to protect the academy or anything like that."

"Uh… yeah, of course," Nezu agreed hesitantly. "I wouldn't ask civilians to—wait, they aren't civilians, are they?"

"Nope," Shin replied easily. "Each one of them has a powerful quirk, and I specifically trained them in combat."

Nezu paused. "So… combat-trained maids and butlers, huh. Just to be clear—how powerful are we talking?"

Shin smirked. "Top 50 Pro Heroes level. Three of them could give Prime All Might a run for his money in their area of specialities."

Nezu blinked. "Every single one of them…?"

"Yeah. Each one."

"And you're not going to tell me how you acquired them, are you?"

"Hmm," Shin mused, before deciding, "I'll give you the short version: years ago, an assassination and mercenary organization targeted me and forced me to join. I beat them so badly that they offered their servitude instead."

Nezu fell silent. Shin continued, his smile unfaltering. "Oh, and I recently added a new butler to my staff. His former name was Zero. You know! The same one that made me nearly die two months ago."

Silence.

Aizawa, Midnight, and All Might, who had been listening from the sidelines, were utterly speechless.

Nezu, too, took a moment to process everything before finally asking, with a hint of apprehension, "...How many of them do you have?"

"Oh, I'm not asking to bring all of them. Just ten."

Nezu let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "Alright. As long as they don't harm my students, you can bring them."

"They won't, unless provoked," Shin assured. "If a student attacks them, though, I'm not responsible for what happens. They won't kill, but I can't promise there won't be mental damage from the experience."

"...Deal." Without waiting for any further bombshells, Nezu promptly ended the call.

Aizawa, All Might, and Midnight sat in silence, their heads pounding from the sheer amount of information they'd just absorbed. Without another word, they stood and left, instructing Shin to have his things moved to his reserved floor by Sunday—one day before classes began. Once they were gone, Shin simply resumed his work, casually instructing his maids to handle the move.

...

On the evening of the last day of the week,

Shin, who had already moved into his dorm, was relaxing when his Force Pulse picked up movement below. Focusing on it, he saw his classmates gathered together, engaged in a discussion. Since he was bored anyway, he decided to check it out. Instead of using the lift, he simply jumped from his window—there was no need to wait when he could just land effortlessly.

As he approached, the group turned to him in surprise.

"You're here too, Shin? I thought you wouldn't be joining the dorms since we didn't see you this morning," Mina said cheerfully.

"This morning? Was there class today?" Shin asked, confused.

"No, silly. We were all asked to come in the morning to move into the dorms." Momo chuckled. She had the same drastically changed appearance from after gaining the TrueSoul, yet no one even realized it. Clearly, System Shenanigans. That together with her current attire made her look very lovely.

Shin gave her an appreciative smile and then looked towards the rest of his classmates and voiced out, "Oh, I see. So, what are you guys up to now?"

"We were thinking of holding a competition, and now that you're here, you should join in!" Toru said excitedly—this time, fully visible. Shin briefly deactivated his Force Pulse to confirm it.

"A competition?" Shin's interest was piqued. "What kind?"

"It's about who has the best room among the men," Mina explained with a grin.

"That's not fair! The men have to show their rooms, but the women don't?" Shin argued, standing up for the men and advocating for fairness. "If you want any of us to participate in your little game, then the women should have to show their rooms too."

The women hesitated, but to everyone's surprise, Mina immediately agreed, catching them off guard. And so, their little journey began as they moved from floor to floor, visiting each student's room.

First was Midoriya's room, packed with All Might collectibles, which amazed his classmates—though it also made them realize that Midoriya was at a borderline stalker level of fan.

Next was Tokoyami's room, which reminded Shin of a den belonging to death practitioners—places where dark rituals were performed and experiments on souls were common.

Kirishima's room, on the other hand, was that of a typical young man—except for the excessive amount of gym equipment, proving just how much he cared about muscles.

Iida's room reflected his personality perfectly—filled with books and meticulously organized, a testament to his disciplined nature.

Then came Kuroiro's room, which, as expected, was entirely black. In fact, it was so dark that Shin suspected he had painted the walls with Vantablack, as they could barely see anything without the lights on.

Shoda's room was similar to Midoriya's, except instead of All Might, his collection revolved around all the female pro heroes.

Sato's room was pretty normal, but he managed to win over the women by bribing them with freshly baked cakes from his oven.

The women were particularly excited to see Todoroki's room, likely due to their own fantasies about what it might look like. When they entered, they found it to be a fully traditional Japanese-style room—even the floors had been changed to tatami mats. When asked why, Todoroki simply replied that he couldn't sleep or relax properly on standard tiled floors.

After visiting the rest of the rooms—most of which were fairly standard and unremarkable—Mina suddenly turned to Shin and asked, "Where's your room?" immediately drawing everyone's attention.

"I'll show you later. Let's save the best for last—I know you'll be shocked when you see it," Shin said with a smirk. The women eagerly agreed, and though the men were reluctant, they eventually nodded as well.

Then it was the women's turn. Mina's room was vibrant and full of energy, perfectly matching her personality. What Shin liked about the room was the tiger-striped bedsheets and curtains, which gave it a wild look.

Next was Jiro's room, which was not feminine at all. Instead, Shin felt like he had stepped into a rock band's playroom. It was filled with instruments, but he appreciated her passion for music.

Then it was Toru's room, which was completely pink—walls, bedsheets, carpets, and curtains. But overall, it looked like a normal woman's room.

Setsuna's room felt as disgusting as her quirk, so he will not even mention it.

Ibara's room was half garden, where she had planted a lot of flowers. Even her bedsheets and curtains had floral designs, making the entire space feel like a nature retreat.

Finally, it was Momo's room, which had an expensive-looking bed and carpet. She also had a wall full of schematics for her different projects, showing how much she loved her crafts.

After the remaining women showed their rooms, they asked for the location of his room.

Shin, in the mood to show off, said to them, "Follow me." They were on the first floor, so he went toward the end wall of the hallway. As they passed every room, his classmates grew confused, as there was only a wall in front.

Mina asked, "Where are you going? There is only a wall in the front."

"Just wait and watch," Shin said, walking up to the wall and placing his right hand on a specific spot on the right side.

A camera placed at the top turned toward him, scanning his face. A second later, the wall in front of him parted sideways, revealing an elevator. The doors slid open, showing a space large enough for a class of people to fit in.

He turned toward them, who were frozen in shock at the hidden elevator, and said, "What are you guys doing? Enter the lift already."

They woke up from their dumbfounded state and stepped inside. The doors closed, and they moved up, excitement bubbling up as they anticipated what Shin had in store.

When they reached the top floor, the doors opened, revealing his so-called room—which was actually an entire floor modelled exactly after his bungalow. His classmates just stood there, amazed at the sheer size of the place. From where they stood, they could already see multiple rooms. Two staircases on either side led to another floor above—also his, as they had agreed to make the place that big. They could see people moving about, going about their tasks.

Then Momo, who was still processing how such a place even existed on top of the building they were staying in, asked, "So which one is your room?" She was seriously surprised because even she hadn't been aware of this—her boyfriend hadn't bothered to mention anything about this to her.

His classmates snapped out of their amazement, now focused entirely on her question, eager to see his room.

"What do you mean which one is my room?" Shin asked while smirking. "This entire floor and the floor above are both mine. The people moving about are my maids and butlers."

"What!" his classmates exclaimed in shock.

"Surprised, aren't you?" Shin said smugly.

"How…?"

"I am that valuable to the academy, that they were willing to give me the entire floor," Shin said, clearly enjoying their reactions. He continued, "Just for today, I am allowing you to roam around the place, but from tomorrow onwards you can't come here unless I specifically invite you. Well, you won't be able to with the security at the lift. And even if you manage, well, an ugly surprise is waiting for you," Shin smiled with a scary face.

All his classmates gulped slightly in fear before nervously exploring the massive space, leaving Shin alone with Momo. She watched them scatter, still processing the sheer absurdity of what she had just witnessed. Though with everything she knew about Shin, she should have expected something like this.

After a while, the students finished their little tour and started leaving one by one, still murmuring about the insane setup. Soon, only Momo remained. She crossed her arms, giving Shin an unimpressed look. "You really love showing off, don't you?"

Shin smirked. "What's the point of having all this if I can't see their reactions?"

Momo sighed, shaking her head. "You could have at least told me about it beforehand."

"And ruin the surprise?"

She rolled her eyes but didn't argue. Instead, she glanced around, realizing that now, with everyone gone, the place felt much quieter. Shin took a step closer, and she immediately noticed the shift in his expression—less teasing, more intent.

"So," she said, raising an eyebrow. "Now that the show is over, what are you going to do?"

Shin didn't answer right away. Instead, he stepped closer, resting a hand on Momo's waist and pulling her against him. The air between them grew heavier as she swallowed, feeling his warmth. "I can think of a few things," he murmured.

Momo bit her lip, placing her hands on his chest. "Oh? And what might those be?"

Shin leaned in, his lips brushing her ear. "Why don't I just show you?"

A shiver ran through her as the doors to one of his rooms slid open. Without another word, he led her inside, the doors closing behind them, shutting out the rest of the world.

The next morning, Shin woke up feeling content to find Momo sleeping peacefully beside him. For the first time in a while, he had slept longer than necessary. He was usually busy and disliked wasting time, but when he was with her, he could relax much more. It wasn't just about their more intimate moments but also the small dates they went on, the training sessions where he taught her various things, including combat, or even just the times they spent fooling around. Every second with her was something he treasured.

So, he patiently waited, watching her peaceful sleeping face. When she finally woke up, he greeted her with a good morning kiss. After that, they got up and entered the bathroom, showering together. Though, it took a while since they ended up having a quickie in the shower.

Once done, they got dressed in their uniforms and had breakfast, which was prepared by his maids and, as always, tasted amazing. Shin had been quite surprised the first time he ate their cooking—he hadn't expected assassins to be skilled in something so domestic. But in hindsight, it made sense. If they had to infiltrate households, cooking would be a necessary skill.

After finishing his meal, Shin turned to Momo and asked, "So, can you finally tell me about that mysterious thing you've been working on for me?"
