Chapter 12 - Chapter -12

The Festival of Unity

After the peaceful resolution with Lord Varos, the kingdom entered a time of harmony and celebration. The people felt proud of their king, who had protected the Golden River without fighting a war. His wisdom and kindness had once again saved the kingdom from danger.

To celebrate the return of peace, the king announced a grand festival that would be remembered for generations. It would be called The Festival of Unity, a special day when people from every village and town would come together to share joy, friendship, and gratitude.

Preparations for the festival began immediately. Streets were decorated with colorful flags and bright lanterns. Musicians practiced cheerful songs, and artists painted beautiful pictures of the Golden River and the royal palace. Farmers brought baskets filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, while bakers prepared sweet cakes and warm bread.

Children were especially excited. They spent days rehearsing dances and plays that told stories of bravery and kindness. The young prince also joined them, learning about leadership and responsibility from his teachers.

On the morning of the festival, the entire kingdom gathered in the large royal courtyard. The sun shone warmly in the sky, and a gentle breeze carried the sound of laughter and music through the air. People wore their finest clothes, and the atmosphere was filled with happiness.

The king and the two queens stepped onto the grand stage. The crowd became quiet, waiting to hear the king's words. He looked at his people with pride and spoke in a clear, strong voice.

"My dear people," the king began,

"Today we celebrate not only our peace but also our unity. Together, we have protected our land, respected nature, and helped one another. This festival reminds us that our strength comes from standing side by side."

The crowd cheered loudly, waving their hands in excitement.

Soon, the celebrations began. Musicians played lively tunes, dancers performed graceful movements, and storytellers shared tales of courage and friendship. Colorful kites flew high in the sky, and fireworks sparkled like stars as evening approached.

During the festival, the king noticed a small group of villagers standing quietly near the edge of the courtyard. They looked worried and hesitant. Curious, the king walked toward them and asked gently,

"What troubles you, my friends?"

One of the villagers stepped forward and said respectfully,

"Your Majesty, our village lies near the eastern forest. Recently, we have seen strange lights and heard mysterious sounds at night. We fear something unusual may be happening there."

The king listened carefully. Even during a celebration, he never ignored the concerns of his people.

"Do not be afraid," he replied calmly.

"We will investigate this matter and ensure your safety."

That evening, after the festival ended, the king gathered his most trusted guards and advisers. He explained the villagers' concerns and prepared to visit the eastern forest the next morning.

At sunrise, the king and his companions set out on their journey. The path to the eastern forest was long and quiet. Tall trees surrounded them, and the sound of birds echoed through the branches.

As they moved deeper into the forest, they noticed faint glowing lights among the trees. The lights flickered gently, creating an eerie but beautiful scene. The soldiers remained alert, ready to protect the king.

Suddenly, they heard a soft voice calling from behind a large tree. Slowly, an old woman stepped forward. She carried a small lantern that glowed with a warm golden light.

Her face was calm and kind, and her eyes shone with wisdom.

"Welcome, brave king," she said gently.

"Do not fear these lights. They are not a danger, but a message."

The king looked at her with curiosity and asked,

"What kind of message?"

The old woman smiled softly and pointed toward the glowing lights floating above the trees.

"These lights appear when the forest is healthy and protected. They are a sign that nature is grateful for your care. But remember, the balance of the land must always be respected."

The king felt relieved and grateful. He realized that the strange lights were not a threat but a reminder of the importance of protecting nature.

He thanked the old woman for her guidance and promised to continue caring for the forests, rivers, and people of the kingdom.

As the king and his companions returned to the palace, the morning sun rose brightly above the horizon. The kingdom once again felt safe and hopeful for the future.

Standing on the palace balcony, the king watched the peaceful land stretching before him. He knew that many adventures still awaited, but he was ready to face them with courage and wisdom.
