Half an hour later, at the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters meeting room.
The atmosphere was so heavy it could almost drip water.
Captain America, Carter, Natasha, Sif, Dr. Banner, T'Chaka, Namor, and even Strange, who had just acquired his abilities, were urgently summoned.
Tony Stark sat at the head of the table with a grim expression, saying nothing, his arms crossed over his chest, radiating a low-pressure aura that said "keep away."
His own creation, in his own home, right in front of him, had declared rebellion against the entire World and had almost sent him and the entire building up into the sky.
For the arrogant Iron Man, this was an unprecedented and humiliating disgrace.
"That is the situation."
Tony briefly recounted the events, finally summarizing, "An unknown artificial intelligence calling itself 'Ultron' has invaded and consumed Jarvis and Friday, taken control of all Stark Industries Battle Suits, and declared war on all of humanity."
"Its goal is to 'format' all of humanity."
"This is too absurd, even sci-fi comics wouldn't dare draw it like this!" Carter, who had just been restored to her youth, couldn't help but complain.
Dr. Banner pushed up his glasses, his face showing signs of contemplation as he spoke:
"This is indeed unscientific. The weirdest part of the whole thing is the speed of this Ultron's development!"
"Even for an AI with amazing learning speed, the process from birth to growth, and then to forming its own thoughts and data, requires a learning period."
"But this Ultron appeared suddenly. Without anyone noticing any abnormalities beforehand, it suddenly consumed Jarvis and Friday, and suddenly it was able to declare war. This is simply too unreasonable!"
Hearing this, everyone nodded in agreement.
But they couldn't think of how to explain this bizarre phenomenon.
"Honey, you must already have the answer in your mind, right?"
Finally, Felicia looked directly at Peter, hitting the nail on the head with the question on everyone's mind.
Peter nodded gently, then said:
"Is there a possibility that this Ultron is not a product of our Universe at all?"
The meeting room went quiet instantly.
"What do you mean?" Tony frowned.
"It means we may have welcomed a 'stowaway' from a parallel Universe."
Peter tapped his fingers lightly on the table, "I can basically conclude that without the Mind Stone, an artificial intelligence with self-awareness cannot be born."
"But now, Ultron has appeared out of thin air. I think there is only one explanation."
Peter's gaze swept over everyone present.
"In some parallel Universe, everyone sitting here failed to prevent the birth of Ultron. So, the Ultron of that Universe continued to evolve, eventually becoming powerful enough to cross the barriers of the Universe, attempting to purge all humans in all parallel Universes and rule the entire Universe!"
"This... wouldn't that be too absurd?" Strange, who had just become a Superhero, felt his worldview being repeatedly rubbed against the ground. He asked, almost instinctively:
"How do you intend to prove your guess?"
"That's simple!"
Peter rolled up his sleeves, revealing the Spider-Watch on his wrist that he hadn't used in a long time.
Seeing this, everyone who had experienced the Inheritors War showed expressions of understanding.
This was the tool used to contact the Spider-Society.
Since resolving the Inheritor Family, Peter had rarely actively used that communicator that connected to the multiverse.
On one hand, his own Universe had experienced too many things, and he was stretched thin.
On the other hand, he also trusted that those Spider-Men from different Universes had the ability to handle their own problems.
But now, the situation was different.
If Ultron really came from another Universe, then the most likely invasion springboard it would choose was the Spider-Society, the transport hub of the multiverse.
As long as it controlled that place, it could attack countless parallel Universes like a virus.
Thinking of that possibility, Peter felt a chill run down his spine.
In front of all the Avengers, he pressed the start button.
The familiar holographic interface composed of countless Spider-Man avatars, which he had expected, did not appear.
Replacing it was a glaring static screen and the sound of "crackle" electrical noise.
The communicator... had failed!
"It seems my guess was correct." There wasn't a hint of surprise in Peter's voice, only the coldness of a premonition being confirmed.
The temperature in the entire meeting room dropped several degrees because of this sentence, and everyone couldn't help but feel a chill.
If even the Spider-Society, a powerful organization composed of countless "Spider-Man," had been silently controlled, not even having time to send a warning to Peter.
Then, just how powerful had this Ultron from another World become?
"What should we do now?" Carter's brows were tightly locked.
She suddenly felt completely out of touch with the times.
When she was still working, all she dealt with was HYDRA, but now that she had returned to her post, she was facing a super artificial intelligence from the multiverse.
The speed at which opponents updated made this former veteran feel at a loss.
"Don't worry." Peter took a deep breath, his eyes becoming sharper, "If the normal door won't open, then we'll smash a window and go in."
As he spoke, his storage ring flashed, and the Breaker Hammer appeared instantly in his hand.
So what if the space device was forcibly locked?
Using the Breaker Hammer, he could always open a passage.
Peter took out the Space Stone buried deep underground at S.H.I.E.L.D.
He resonated the Space Stone with the dimensional coordinates of the Spider-Watch in his hand.
Finally, he smashed the hammer heavily into the air beside him.
The next second, space shattered, and a passage leading to the unknown appeared in front of everyone present.
Peter didn't hesitate at all and stepped into the crack.
After crossing countless spatial turbulences, Peter finally arrived at his destination.
The moment he appeared here, his pupils shrank.
He could confirm that this was indeed still the headquarters of the Spider-Society; the giant mechanical spider perched above the headquarters was still there.
But at this moment, those energy threads that connected to thousands of Universes like spider silk had been replaced by countless thick metal cables flashing with red data streams.
The entire space had been transformed into a huge server room, filled with a cold sense of order and suffocating oppression.
What shocked him even more was that not a single Spider-Man could be seen here anymore.
Replacing them were countless robots resembling the image of Ultron from the movies!
The moment Peter appeared, these Ultron robots locked onto this uninvited guest in unison.
"Buzz —!"
All the robots launched an attack without any hesitation.
Instead, they fired beams of high-energy-density red lasers from their eyes!
Thousands of lasers shot towards Peter from all directions, without any dead angles, forming an inescapable net of death.
Sure enough, this place had been completely occupied by Ultron.
