Chapter 39 - Zenith's Unlimited Blade Works

*'What kind of logic is that? Who would've thought a supposedly honorable guy like you, Sparkles, would be such a snob.'* Zenith had just thought that since things had come to this, they probably wouldn't need to fight, but Gilgamesh continued.

"In that case, killing you won't tarnish the prestige of my Noble Phantasms. Die!"

Gilgamesh's Noble Phantasm attacks packed way more of a punch than Archer's or Shirou Emiya's. There really was a difference between the genuine article and the bootlegs.

But continuing to fight like this wasn't ideal. Unlike Stands, Heroic Spirits could be seen by ordinary people. By now, quite a few residents had already come out of their houses, fleeing in panic.

There were also people who had been injured or killed by the shockwaves and "ricochets."

Sometimes, Zenith was genuinely curious. Since the prerequisite for starting the Holy Grail War was the leylines' mana, why did it have to be held in Fuyuki City?

They could just find an isolated island far from the mainland and go crazy on it. They could use the flashiest skills and the most massive area-of-effect attacks to look as cool as possible. But no, they just *had* to fight back and forth in tiny little Fuyuki City.

Wasn't that boring?

Speaking of which, if they fought inside a Reality Marble, it should be easier to go all out, right?

Zenith thought of Jun's Meta Field. That ruthless guy he hadn't even met yet would teleport himself and his opponents into a subspace to fight.

"Archer, unleash Unlimited Blade Works! Pull everyone inside!"

EMIYA, who was currently tangled up with Lancer, nearly tripped over his own feet upon hearing this. "You overestimate me. With my abilities, pulling this many people into a Reality Marble at the same time is impossible."

That made sense. In the original plot, it was usually a one-on-one pull; he had never seen it used on a massive scale.

"If you're a noob, just practice more! Good thing my inventory has plenty of space, I've got all sorts of stuff in here."

A scroll wrapped in a dark red ribbon appeared in Zenith's hand. In the Mahou Tsukai mod, there were barrier scrolls similar to Unlimited Blade Works. However, they didn't have such a fancy name; they were simply called "Reality Marble Scrolls."

But this item was also meant for one-on-one use. To pull everyone in, he'd have to waste quite a few scrolls.

Out of everyone present, it went without saying that his teammates needed to be pulled into the Reality Marble. As for the enemies, the old bug definitely counted, along with Lancer and Gilgamesh.

As for Kirei Kotomine, Zenith vaguely remembered seeing Souichiro Kuzuki from up in the sky earlier.

According to his Servant Caster's original plan, she was preparing to steal Saber. But now that the Ahoge King was in Zenith's hands, she obviously had no chance.

Since that was the case, would she point her spearhead at Kirei Kotomine instead? Zenith was very curious, so he decided to leave Kirei outside alone.

He wasn't worried about him running away, either. As long as the Holy Grail War wasn't over, the monk could run, but the temple couldn't. He'd have to come back sooner or later.

There were no teleportation special effects. The moment the Reality Marble Scroll activated, it directly transferred the targets into an independent dimension attached to the Minecraft Overworld.

The fighting stopped. The surrounding environment made them feel uneasy.

It looked like a desert, but why was the sand made up of perfectly standard one-cubic-meter blocks?

The sun was square, the clouds had sharp edges and corners, and even the swords stuck in the ground were perfectly blocky. *'My friend, am I awake?'*

These swords scattered everywhere looked very similar in design to the one Zenith usually used. Shirou Emiya was the first to realize this.

Sure enough, Zenith soon spoke up. "Everyone, go all out! Let loose! This is my Reality Marble, Unlimited Blade Works. You don't have to worry about hurting innocent bystanders here, so settle your grudges and exact your revenge!"

Gilgamesh looked at the swords littering the ground and casually picked one up. "An exaggerated weight and a bizarre structure. This kind of trash isn't even worthy of being called a weapon."

Zenith didn't bother arguing with him. "You'll know if it's fitting or not once I slash you with it."

Obviously, upon arriving here, the allied Heroic Spirits—especially Saber—completely let loose. She swung Excalibur at the old bug three times in a row like it cost her nothing.

With Sakura's mana supporting her, Rider, Medusa, also unleashed Bellerophon on the spot, fighting with absolute exhilaration.

The old bug's vitality was incredibly tenacious. In the original story, he had been killed many times, but he never actually died completely.

The worms were his true body. He might look dead, but there were always clones left outside. This kind of immortality was disgusting, but it undeniably made him hard to kill.

Things were different on Zenith's turf. Although this place was called a Reality Marble, it fundamentally still belonged to the Minecraft universe.

And the massive old bug had been classified as a boss-type mob. In other words, the old bastard now had a visible health bar.

Who cares what backup plans or resurrection mechanics you have? In my world, once your health bar hits zero, you're dead. No tricks will save you.

As the last sliver of the purple health bar was depleted, the gigantic humanoid insect body began to tremble violently before exploding into countless bugs with a loud bang.

Outside the barrier, the worms hidden in the Matou estate and other secret workshops twitched a few times before completely losing all signs of life.

Sakura Matou—or perhaps it was more fitting to call her Sakura Tohsaka now.

His long, five-hundred-year life had finally come to an end. At the same time, Lancer, who had been bitterly holding out, was thoroughly defeated and collapsed to the ground.

"As magi, the two of you are already quite impressive."

Cu Chulainn truly lived up to the word "hero," and Ireland's Child of Light possessed a noble character. If his Master hadn't been Kirei Kotomine, he might have made a great ally.

Lancer, the spearman, had officially bowed out!

When a Heroic Spirit died, their soul would try to return to the Holy Grail, waiting to go back to the Throne of Heroes. But Zenith had forgotten one thing: the Minecraft world was entirely different from the Reality Marbles used by other magi.

Cu Chulainn's soul darted left and right, spinning around in midair for ages without finding a way out.

"What's the meaning of this?" Cu Chulainn complained. "I was told I'd be participating in the Holy Grail War when I got here, so why can't I go back now?!"

*Is this right? This isn't right, is it?*

Cu Chulainn's soul floated in midair as if he were in Spectator Mode, staring blankly at Zenith in utter bewilderment. In this state, only Zenith, the master of the Minecraft world, could see him.

"Don't look at me, I'm just as confused," Zenith said. "Since things have come to this, why don't you just hang out here for a bit? Let's see if you can go back once the barrier is lifted."

Cu Chulainn figured he had no other choice, though he couldn't help but feel a sliver of curiosity toward Zenith.

To be able to intercept the soul of a Heroic Spirit... just how many secrets was this Zenith hiding? Was this really something a human magus could achieve? Even True Magic wouldn't be this easy, right?

Only Gilgamesh remained. Watching the crowd surround him, he didn't show the slightest hint of panic. "Do you wish to fight? A king never fears any challenge, especially when your power is not even worth mentioning."

This time, he didn't say 'mongrel.' It wasn't that he had cured his verbal tic, but rather that he knew Zenith genuinely had the ability to shove his head up his own ass.

To be honest, though, Zenith didn't really want to fight Gilgamesh either. It wasn't that he was afraid of losing, but rather that he felt the overwhelming urge to kidnap him, like pulling a golden SSR card in a gacha game.

"Sparkles, how about we make a deal?"

*'Sparkles? What the hell is a Sparkles? Is he talking about me?!'* Gilgamesh thought.
