Tara was still in the doctor's office as he continued to ask her questions.
"Miss Tara, I apologize in advance since the questions I'm about to ask will be intrusive," he said with professional politeness.
"Oh, please go ahead," Tara replied softly.
"So, have you seen your menstruation this month?" the doctor asked as he looked at his computer, waiting for her response.
For a second, Tara stiffened at the doctor's question, like her brain had suddenly begun ticking in reverse. But at the last moment, she calmed herself down and replied honestly.
"I don't know, Doctor Evans," Tara answered quietly.
"Care to explain why you said that?" the doctor asked.
"I mean, I don't know because I had an accident a week ago which caused me to have a concussion, and I temporarily lost my memory," Tara explained as she looked down at her hands thoughtfully.
The doctor looked at Tara for a second before continuing to type something on his computer.
