Chapter 51 - Riser Phenex

A/N: For those who commented and I haven't replied to, I'm really sorry. Like I said, my account is having a problem, and right now it's only my Inkstone that's functioning properly. Those I have replied to are people who commented on the recent chapter, but I promise if it gets better, I'll reply to each of you.

...

Kuoh Town.

Dohnaseek and Raynare hovered, dumbstruck and scared.

"W-Who are you?" Dohnaseek spoke once more, but this time his voice wasn't calm anymore.

Satoru smiled. "No need to know. You'll soon be dead anyway."

As Satoru spoke, Dohnaseek's wings flapped wildly as he retreated backwards. In his hands, a spear of light appeared, and he threw it forcefully at Satoru. But as the light spear reached ten metres from Satoru, Dohnaseek watched in shock as it veered off course and struck the ground, creating an explosion and a fierce gale that whipped the clothes of the stunned Asia and Koneko.

"Dohnaseek?!" Raynare screamed as she saw Dohnaseek turn and flee with full force. And then something happened that added to her shock—Dohnaseek's head burst apart, and his headless corpse plummeted to the ground.

Raynare hurriedly landed on the ground. With a pale face and a forced smile, she swayed her hips awkwardly as she approached Satoru.

"D-Don't kill me... I promise I'll b-become your slave, serving y-you in your e-every need," she said as she approached him. But as she got ten metres close to him, she couldn't move, as if an invisible wall had appeared.

"What makes you think I want a slave that may betray me at any time?" Satoru asked, draining all color from Raynare's face.

"P-plea—"

Bang!

Raynare, now headless, fell to the ground with a thud.

"Now, just remains..." Satoru turned and stared at the stray devil who tried to appear as inconspicuous as possible.

It had met this group of three fallen angels who had directed him to this prostitute's home. Even as Koneko beat it, it didn't retreat because it felt that as long as those three fallen angels acted, it would be alright. Until...

The stray devil stared fearfully at the ground littered with the corpses of the three fallen angels.

"Don't worry, you'll join them soon," Satoru said. As the stray devil hurriedly rose its head, a red sphere struck its face, bursting it apart.

"Let's go," Satoru said as he put his hands into his pockets and walked away from the scene, the black 'overturned bowl' barrier dissolving.

Asia and Koneko were feeling disoriented by the situation, but then Satoru's voice drifted over, snapping them from their stupor.

"After a mission completion, don't you report it to your Buchou?"

Asia and Koneko hurried to his side, the two unsurprisingly having the same thought.

Isn't Buchou(-san)'s guest a little bit overpowered?

...

Later in the day, Satoru received a text from Rias requesting his presence in Kuoh Academy.

"Thank you. If it weren't for your intervention, Koneko and Asia..." Rias didn't finish her words, but Satoru understood it clearly.

Sitting down on the couch, Satoru smiled. "It's nothing. But I'm quite confused. Since you knew of the fallen angels, why didn't you wipe them out earlier?"

"Initially, my peerage and I tried to handle the situation. However, we underestimated them. At the time, we were only capable of killing Kalawarner," Rias said, her cheeks tinged with pink in embarrassment.

Satoru nodded in understanding and smiled.

"There's no need to thank me."

...

The days went by in a blur, and one month passed.

During these days, Satoru, guided by Koneko and Asia around the town, and naturally, they drew closer—especially Koneko, to whom he kept giving sweets. After staying these days, he also met Rias's rival—Sona—though they just exchanged a few words.

The day of Rias Phenex's visiting finally arrived.

But before the main character—Riser—arrived, a woman devil came to the human world.

Long silver hair, maid clothes, and cold eyes and expression. She was both the sister-in-law to Rias and a maid to the Gremory family—Grayfia Lucifuge.

"Rias-sama, what's the meaning of this?"

The moment Grayfia emerged from the glowing teleportation circle, she noticed a human sitting on the couch sipping tea. She didn't know why, but every alarm in her mind screamed to get further away from this boy.

"This is Gojo Satoru, my new peerage member," Rias introduced Satoru with a smile.

Grayfia frowned slightly. "But I don't sense any demonic energy from him."

"The piece was gotten from 'that' place," Rias said with a smile, and Grayfia's brows furrowed.

She naturally knew of 'that' place since a year ago, ever since Rias started bringing strange things back home.

"And if you still don't believe me..." Rias turned to Satoru. "Satoru, please."

Satoru gave a nod and released his energy, letting Grayfia sense the little demonic energy mixed within it.

Grayfia sighed and shook her head. "I've sensed it. But Rias-sama, make sure to control your peerage member before Riser-sama arrives."

Rias gave a nod just in time for another teleportation circle to light up in the occult club room. Out stepped a blonde, handsome man with an arrogant expression.

"Riser has come to this world to see you, oh my beloved Rias... or should I say, my beautiful wife?"
