Chapter 50 - The Fallen Angels

"So you're Buchou-san's guest?" Asia asked softly as she watched the white-haired, blindfolded man eat mochi.

Though a blindfold covered the upper part of his face, it couldn't hide his handsomeness—especially with that smile. The evidence was the fact that women, both old and young, stared at him while they walked; some had even approached him for his contact info.

"Mhm," Satoru nodded. "But I didn't expect to see you guys here. Shouldn't class still be going on?"

Asia's face flushed in embarrassment as she looked away shyly. Koneko, who had been silently eating mochi, was the one who spoke.

"The shop. Limited sales. I need Asia," she said, and then continued eating.

Asia smiled wryly, but just then, from her school pocket, her phone rang.

"Eh?" Asia blinked and took the phone out. Seeing it was a message from Rias, she read through it seriously, and after finishing, her serious expression became tinged with gravity.

"Koneko-san, let's go. Buchou-san said there's a stray devil close by," Asia said as she stood up.

Koneko's biting stopped for a moment before she swallowed the mochi whole, her brows furrowing slightly as she also stood up.

"Um… Gojo-kun, would you also like to come?" Asia asked. She felt that it was rude if she just left Gojo here alone.

Gojo ate the remaining mochi and stood up with a smile. "Then I'll stroll a little."

The location of the stray devil wasn't too far away from the park where the trio stayed.

After a five-minute walk, they finally arrived at their destination: a dilapidated house that looked like it was about to fall.

As Satoru was about to step into the building, he paused and raised an eyebrow, looking at a place, his lips curling into a smirk.

I see. Interesting.

At the place Satoru looked.

Three figures hid together—a man and two women, each of them possessing two massive black feathered wings.

"Raynare, I think that kid noticed us," the only man in the group, wearing a long coat and a hat, stated calmly, staring at the building Satoru and the others had entered.

"Heh! It must have been a coincidence," Raynare, a scantily clad fallen angel, said as she stared at the building, her eyes shimmering with barely restrained rage.

She couldn't give up on this mission. This mission was not only a way for her to finally enter the eyes of Azazel, but it was also a way for her to wash away her humiliation… the humiliation of fleeing like a coward.

And besides, what if the kid knows?… Death is what awaits the three of them.

"Asia, how did you join Rias's peerage?" Satoru asked as he walked beside her.

Asia's eyes held warmth and gratitude as she smiled. "I met Buchou-san when I was in the church. She pulled me up from the darkness of self-doubt; that's why I'm forever grateful to her."

"Oh," Satoru nodded, then he asked another question: "Do you know Raynare?"

Asia tilted her head in confusion. "Who's that?"

"No one," Satoru said with a smile. So she hasn't come into contact with Raynare? Rias really changed the plot of this world a little bit too much.

"We're here."

Koneko's cold and emotionless voice broke Satoru from his reverie as he watched her—now wearing a glove—push the door to an apartment open.

Swoosh!

Crunch! Crunch!

Thick demonic energy burst out from the open door, along with the sound of eating.

At the center of the apartment crouched an abnormal figure—lower part worm, upper part man. In one hand, he held the head of a woman with wide eyes, and in the other, the body of a headless woman, presumably the owner of the head he held.

"Hm…?" As the three entered the room, the devil stopped eating its 'meal' and raised its head. Immediately, it saw Asia and Koneko and shrieked in joy: "Woman! Woman! WOM—"

Boom!

Koneko's fist smashed the face of the devil, and it was sent flying, breaking the walls of the building and falling outside.

Fortunately, I set up a barrier, Satoru thought as he followed Asia, the two standing at the hole in the wall, watching as Koneko thrashed the devil like a child—this was her request.

"Tsk. She really loves her sweets," Satoru said with a smirk as he watched Koneko's fist, coated with chakra, punch the belly of the beast, causing it to recoil.

"Mhm," Asia nodded.

"Hm?" Satoru let out a hum as he vanished, appearing in front of Koneko, and raised a hand.

Boom!

A light spear struck his hand but didn't cause any harm, instead dissipating.

"As expected, you're not normal," a calm male voice sounded from above as black feathers fell to the floor. The three fallen angels who had watched the trio enter the building hovered in the sky, their eyes staring at the three.

"I wonder how he'll scream? Ahh! I can't wait!" a loli fallen angel with blonde hair tied in two small ponytails exclaimed as she stared at Satoru fervently, her cheeks tinged with pink. "Should I break your arm? Or ma—"

The loli fallen angel's words were cut short as a hole the size of a bullet appeared on her forehead. Still with that fervent expression, she died, falling to the ground.

"Mittelt!" Raynare screamed in shock and fear. Then she heard the white-haired boy speak; his voice, magnetic and charming, now sounded like the words of the grim reaper.

"I don't like others imagining my death. Now, how should I deal with you two?"
