Chapter 12 - Setting New Goals

Knock knock.

"Open."

"Hello," Adrian muttered as he gently stepped into the manager's office. The moment he entered, his eyes were immediately drawn to a striking beauty.

She was seated on the table, a telephone pressed to her ear, listening intently to whoever was on the other end.

Adrian couldn't help but take her in—her corporate outfit fit her perfectly, outlining her figure in a way that made her look both professional and undeniably attractive.

'Wow… she's quite beautiful.'

She noticed him.

Still holding the phone, she spoke firmly.

"Listen, I don't really care what the price is. Just get it here by tomorrow. My customers need it."

With that, she ended the call and turned her full attention to him.

"Um… sorry, who are you? What are you doing here?"

"Oh, I saw your signboard outside," Adrian replied calmly.

"It mentioned you were looking for a sales person. I came to apply for the job."

She narrowed her eyes slightly, studying him.

"You're here for a job, huh?"

"Yes."

"And you're a guy." Her tone shifted, laced with skepticism.

"Pardon me, but it's a bit suspicious for a guy to want a serious position in a female beauty boutique."

She crossed her arms. "I've seen plenty of pervy guys walk in here. They can't even control themselves from sneaking looks at my customers."

"No, no, it's nothing like that," Adrian said with a soft chuckle. "I don't have any pervy intentions. I'm just looking for a job to help my family."

"That's modest of you," she replied, unconvinced. "But honestly, I don't believe you. So tell me—how exactly do you expect me to?"

'Should I start explaining my whole life… or would that just sound stupid?'

Adrian paused briefly, then let out a quiet chuckle instead.

"Well, to be honest," he began, "for the past few months, I've been passing by this place after school, and I keep seeing that same signboard—'salesperson needed.'

Maybe it's not entirely accurate, but your shop is located in a district that isn't exactly busy.

That probably means you don't get many applications… or maybe you just don't like the ones you do get."

He met her gaze directly.

"So here I am, presenting myself. I don't feel a need to say I'm modest. If you want to test that, feel free to do so however you see fit. But honestly, let's not pretend—we both know you don't have many options."

He continued, his tone steady, "And I don't think one salesperson is going to magically satisfy half the city. Your shop is nice, sure… but let's just be realistic."

She went silent, observing him closely, as though weighing every word he had said.

"...That's smart of you," she admitted at last. "So, you live around here?"

"No," Adrian replied. "I just pass through on my way home."

Then, more firmly, he added, "I just want the job. Is that really too much to ask?"

"Hmm… smart," she murmured, tilting her head slightly. "Quite observant too. That's something you could use—figuring out what clients want, drawing them in. That's a valuable trait for a salesperson."

Her lips curved faintly.

"That is… if you can attract them to you."

"Attract them to me?" Adrian frowned slightly. "Excuse me?"

Then she muttered.

" you saw my salesgirl out there today. What's the first thing you noticed… besides how cute she is?"

Adrian didn't respond.

"Don't be modest with me," Alexis continued. "We both know you saw it. I see it every damn day too. It's sexy, I know. You saw her fat ass. You saw her big booty. She's modest, sure…"

"But it almost choked me to death," Adrian muttered under his breath.

"Exactly," she said, nodding slightly. "That's what attracts people to her. It draws them in. Makes them want to patronize the store more and all that. So tell me—what about you would make them patronize this store?"

She rose from her chair, her posture confident as she faced him fully.

"Well," Adrian began, "I don't exactly think it's wise for me to start praising myself. I'd rather you examine me and tell me what exactly would attract customers to come and support the store."

She smirked.

"Hmm… smart. Very smart," she said, letting out a soft chuckle.

Her eyes slowly traveled from his head down to his legs, carefully taking him in.

"You've got good height. Your body shape is… well, modest."

Then her gaze paused.

She noticed the clear outline beneath his trousers.

"Hmm… speaking of things that catch the eye…" she murmured, a faint smile forming. "I suppose… if presented the right way, or if customers buy into the image… I can see you've got quite a package down there."

"Sorry to say," she added casually, lifting her gaze back to his face.

But to her surprise, Adrian didn't react. His expression remained steady—no embarrassment, no fluster.

"Don't worry about it," Adrian said calmly. "It's not something I can exactly hide."

"Hmm… you're not even affected by me saying something that bold?" she asked, slightly intrigued.

"You're looking for something that attracts customers," Adrian replied with a faint smile. "Honestly, I'm just hoping you'll give me the chance to prove that I can."

She smiled at that.

"Hmm… I like you. Maybe you won't be the type to hit me with a sexual harassment lawsuit," she said jokingly.

Adrian let out a light chuckle.

All this while, he had been observing her too—how elegantly she carried herself in her corporate outfit, how confident and composed she looked.

'There won't be any harassment or assault lawsuit… the only assault happening will be me going after that fat ass.'

He kept that thought to himself.

That was when she smiled, finally stepping away from the office table as she moved closer to Adrian, her eyes slowly trailing up and down his body, taking her time with every glance.

"Yeah… you don't act like the others," she said.

She stopped right in front of him, her smile lingering as her hand gently rose, coming to rest against his chest, feeling the firmness beneath.

"Hmm… lucky me," she continued softly. "I've got a sexy girl with a big booty… and now a well-built boy too."

She snapped her fingers lightly, her gaze dropping once again.

"Aww… is it really that big?" she asked, her eyes flickering down toward his trousers.

Adrian smiled faintly, completely at ease.

"Do you want to find out?" he replied.

She paused.

For a brief moment, the air between them grew still. Then her hand slowly drifted downward, her fingers gently tracing along the outline beneath his trousers as her eyes lifted back to meet his.

"You don't mind?" she asked softly.

"No, not at all," Adrian said calmly. "Why don't you get down and find out?"

She hesitated for a second… then withdrew her hand, a small, amused smile forming on her lips. Then her smile widened.

"You've got the job."

As she said it, her other hand moved, giving Adrian a light, playful slap on the ass.

"How about you start tomorrow?" she added, already turning and walking back toward her chair.

"For your good behavior, I'll start you off with a good pay. Just don't be late—9 a.m. sharp. You hear me?"

Adrian smiled.

"Yes, ma'am."

With that, he turned and stepped out of the manager's office, quietly shutting the door behind him.

'Mission complete.'
