I was more than a little taken aback to see Grace at my door after returning from breakfast. I had planned to grab my things and leave. So, her being stood there was a pleasant surprise to say the least. But she seemed uneasy. And as she began to stutter, I could not help but wonder if her mutterings of fated mates the day before were due to doubts of the marriage.
I wanted the girl to know that there was no rush in the marriage. I was not about to force it upon her, but, at the same time, I was not about to let her go. I had waited so long to find her...
To my surprise she near yelled. "No!" making me step back slightly in shock, her eyes were wide, as if the volume in which she had spoken had shocked her too. I found myself smiling. Maybe my sweet girl was more keen upon me than she realised.
