Throughout the journey back to my homelands, I had been more than a little taken aback by the resistance I was sensing from Grace toward the planning of the wedding. Whilst I was not in any immediate rush, I knew that by taking her home with me, my pack elders would see this as a sign things were advancing. They would expect development. Progression. They would not want time delays. But Grace appeared unwilling to compromise...
I had believed in her request to head home with me that she was pushing for the progression of the relationship. In my mind, the next step, in our ranks, would be the wedding and mating... she would become my Luna. She knew the importance of that, however she seemed almost non-compliant. Like it may well be the last thing she was working toward. Getting to know me, yes, marrying me, not so much.
