Speaking of Leo, he and Molly were just coming out of the utility room with armfuls of freshly dried bedsheets. Sean was trailing behind them with a frown that suggested he had been roped into this particular task without particularly volunteering for it. Molly spotted me the moment she cleared the doorway, threw her entire portion of the sheets into Leo's arms without any warning whatsoever and came at me at full speed.
I was completely engulfed before I had time to do anything about it. I laughed and hugged her back and looked over her shoulder at Leo, who simply shrugged at me with the expression of a man who had made peace with every aspect of his current situation. Behind him Sean caught my eye and mouthed the words good luck Luna at me with a slow and deliberate wink before making himself very wisely scarce.
