Chapter 162 - Chapter 161 And while the Captain's drawing skills weren't particularly good

The Captain nodded. Although the three of them had immediately turned and fled after she stumbled upon them, she had still clearly seen their attire.

Of course, their faces were unclear.

And while the Captain's drawing skills weren't particularly good, she could still manage to simply draw a person from memory.

Soon, a fresh sketch was produced.

Leticia glanced at it, then said to Kira, "Kira, you have the Memory Stone, right?"

"Mhm." Kira, who had been sitting nearby, writing furiously, looked up in confusion. "It's with me."

"Look, does the person here resemble the person in black from the Memory Stone?" Leticia handed the Captain's masterpiece to Kira.

Kira took the portrait drawn by the Captain and immediately frowned.

"It looks like it, Sister Bai, Miss Xia, Miss Lu, please come over and compare it too." Kira pulled out a dark stone from her pocket and injected some magic into it.

A beam of light shot out from the stone, projecting a figure onto the white wall.

The girls gathered around to look, and simultaneously nodded, "It's similar, it should be the same person."

"What a coincidence," Leticia said with a light chuckle. She had just been discussing with Melanie how to find that person in black, and unexpectedly, a clue had appeared so quickly.

First, the Captain's discovery confirmed that the previous attack was not an individual act, but an organized one. The short person in black was a member of the organization.

It was now known that the enemy had at least three people, and the one who launched the attack was agile, and her combat method seemed to be throwing bombs.

Moreover, her bombs were poison bombs. Poor Mengyao was a victim, but now Leticia and the others had formed a temporary alliance with the Elves. If that person's poison was only like that, then her threat would be quite small.

The strength of the other two was unclear, but the person who turned into black mist and slipped away right before the Captain's eyes would certainly not be weak.

The Captain was an A-rank Hero. Although her direct combat ability wasn't strong, her sensory ability could rival an S-rank Hero.

That person running away right in front of the Captain, with the Captain unable to find where they went, almost certainly meant that person's strength was far superior to the Captain's.

At least an S-rank Hero level powerhouse.

Then there was the taller person; her strength should be comparable to the shorter one, otherwise, she wouldn't have run away with the shorter person.

And it took them so long to shake off the Captain, so their strength couldn't be that great.

"Captain, would you like to work for us for a few days?" Leticia asked with a grin.

"We probably can't help much, can we?" The Captain scratched her head. It wasn't that she didn't want to help Leticia, but mainly she didn't think she could offer Leticia any assistance.

Who were the people next to Leticia? A Sword Saint! With a Sword Saint present, what help could mere A-rank nobodies like them provide?

Moreover, in terms of combat power, the Captain didn't think she could beat anyone present.

"Quite the opposite, Captain, you can help a lot." Leticia immediately objected to the Captain's self-deprecation. "Just your prophetic ability alone can be of great use."

While prophecy, that kind of mystical art, couldn't be fully trusted, it was excellent for early warning.

Even if it was wrong many times, as long as it was right once, it wouldn't be a loss.

"Mhm, the Captain is the highest-ranking prophet in the Hero Association. Her prophetic ability is definitely trustworthy." Melanie also agreed with Leticia's view.

She had heard from Senpai Sani and other senior members of the Association that the Captain was their most valued new-generation hero, even more so than Huangmao, who was about to be promoted to S-rank.

There were many S-rank combat heroes; one more Huangmao wouldn't make a difference, and one less wouldn't matter.

But an S-rank Esper of prophecy, that was unprecedented.

Even for A-rank Esper of prophecy, the Captain was the first. Before the Captain, no one had ever possessed such a high-level prophetic ability.

Compared to those charlatans whose predictions were wrong ten out of ten times, the Captain's prophetic accuracy was very high. She either couldn't see the future, or she could see the true future.

Although not being able to see was the more common situation, when she could see clearly, it was as if she had a full map hack.

The reason she could chase those two for so long this time was by relying on her prophetic ability.

She knew how those two would run, but she couldn't catch them.

The awkward part was here: the Captain's combat power was truly a bit weak. Although not entirely fragile, it was definitely far inferior to a normal A-rank Hero.

This was why the Captain used to team up with Momo and Huangmao in the academy; she needed teammates who could carry her and shield her from damage.

"I'm not that amazing," the Captain said, twisting her hands in embarrassment, praised by her idol. "But since even Kimiko said so, it wouldn't be appropriate for me to refuse again."

She couldn't possibly refuse Melanie, could she?

"Captain, you've changed, you don't love me anymore."

"Ohara, stop your chatter and quickly tell me what you and Kimiko need my help with." The Captain decisively ignored Leticia's words and directly asked about the situation.

Leticia pouted unhappily, "Let the one surnamed York tell you; I'm just an external helper."

"You actively got involved," Melanie immediately exposed Leticia's true colors. "So you still haven't told me Eriko's identity."

"Heaven's secrets must not be revealed. You haven't given me any benefits, so why should I share my exclusive intelligence with you?" Leticia snorted.

"We're cooperating."

"As if you'd be completely transparent with information with the Elves."

"Our relationship is different."

"It's the same, completely the same." Leticia held up three fingers. "At least on this matter, I hope you can put romantic feelings aside for now. I'm talking business with you very seriously."

Melanie was a bit upset by Leticia's words. She glanced at the Captain and said to Leticia, "Then I won't tell you the Captain's prophecy either."

Leticia didn't want to tell Melanie her information, so Melanie would follow suit and not tell Leticia the Captain's information.

"The Captain was invited by me, she should be considered my helper!"

"Ask the Captain, who does she want to be with?"

"Captain, quickly say who you want to be with!"

The Captain, suddenly the center of attention, was completely unprepared. Her gaze shifted back and forth between the two girls. For a moment, she didn't know what to do.

Ohara was her good friend, and it was indeed Ohara who invited her first, but Ohara was a demon.

Kimiko was a Sword Saint. As a hero, helping a Sword Saint seemed like a natural thing to do.

But the Captain was afraid that if she said she would stand with Kimiko now, it would make Leticia angry. After all, the Ohara in her impression was never a magnanimous girl.

Ohara got angry easily, but her anger came and went quickly.

However, before the anger subsided, an angry little girl was still difficult to appease.

"Can I help both?"
