"Luca... she's not leaving." Slowly putting down her phone, Melanie felt a wave of speechlessness.
She had been sitting here making awkward small talk with Leticia just to wait for Luca to leave so she could go home, but somehow, Yori had called to say that Luca would be staying at their place tonight.
What was she supposed to do now?
"At this hour, it's really not suitable for an ordinary girl to be out alone." Leticia could understand Yori's choice. Only Melanie and she knew that Luca was a demon, so in Yori's eyes, Luca was just an ordinary classmate.
A cute, ordinary high school girl walking alone on empty, dark streets—just thinking about it felt very dangerous.
With Yori's warm heart, she definitely wouldn't let Luca go back alone.
"If she's not leaving, how am I supposed to go back?" It wasn't that Melanie didn't want Luca to stay at her house; as far as she was concerned, whether Luca stayed or not wasn't something worth caring about.
She trusted that Luca wouldn't dare cause trouble, and even if she did, Melanie had the confidence to suppress a restless Luca.
As for Leticia, Melanie had already figured out this Demon King girl; as long as she didn't cause any major commotion (meaning anything on the scale of demolishing a building or higher), Leticia couldn't be bothered with what she was doing.
Therefore, the only problem now was that she needed to change into decent-looking clothes before going back.
"Do you have any clothes here that I can wear?" Melanie asked. The clothes she had bought earlier wouldn't be delivered until tomorrow, so for now, she was still stuck wearing those few old pieces.
She couldn't go back wearing her current outfit, which had a big hole in a critical spot, so she had no choice but to borrow something from Leticia.
"Open your eyes and take a good look; you wouldn't fit into my clothes at all." Leticia rolled her eyes. The clothes she wore were a size smaller than Melanie's, so they wouldn't fit on Melanie's body at all.
However, while her own clothes wouldn't work, she wasn't the only one living in her house.
Luna's figure was about the same as Melanie's; both had relatively standard, youthful figures. If Melanie wore Luna's clothes, it might work.
"Luna should have some; let's borrow one from her after she gets back," Leticia said to Melanie.
Although they lived under the same roof and had a master-servant relationship, when interacting, Leticia never treated Luna as her appendage.
Luna was a living, breathing person and the existence Leticia trusted the most.
"Borrow what?" As soon as Leticia finished speaking, Luna climbed in through the window.
"You're a bit slow, Luna."
"I threw that little one a bit further away to prevent her from getting picked up by someone," Luna explained why she returned so late, then turned the topic back. "Does Your Majesty need something?"
"It's not for me, it's for her." Leticia pointed to Melanie, who was covering her chest with both hands. "She's thin-skinned and wants to borrow some clothes to wear."
So that was it. Luna had a sudden realization. She did have plenty of clothes in her wardrobe, but most of them were Leticia's clothes; only a small portion were ones she actually wore.
And those clothes were all maid outfits.
"My clothes are basically all maid outfits, just like the one I'm wearing," Luna said, taking off her black robe and pointing to the maid outfit she was wearing, which was identical to the ones in anime. "If Malanie is willing to wear it, I'll go get it for you right away."
Looking at the slightly revealing maid outfit on Luna, Melanie's expression was very conflicted.
Her almost non-existent common sense told her that ordinary maids likely wouldn't dress like this.
Looking at how tight the top was and the shockingly short length of the skirt, these couldn't even be called clothes; calling them lingerie would probably be more appropriate.
"It seems Malanie isn't very willing to wear it." Melanie's reaction clearly revealed her choice. Luna sighed, indicating she couldn't help.
"Don't you have anything slightly more conservative?" Melanie blinked and asked in a low voice.
She felt that going home wearing something like Luna's clothes was no different from going home in her current outfit; both were at a level that would cause social death in front of her sister.
The only difference was that one would make her sister wonder what her big sister had been doing, while the other would make her sister exclaim, "Big sister, you have this hobby too?"
"I do have an idea." At this moment, Leticia spoke up. "You just need to get back to your own room, right?"
"Yes, but I can't use Teleportation right now; Luca would notice it." Melanie nodded; that was the reason she had been staying here all along, otherwise she would have teleported up there a long time ago.
Using Teleportation would be equivalent to revealing her identity as a high-level ability user to the world. As long as Luca wasn't an idiot, she would definitely mark Melanie's location as the highest priority area for surveillance.
Melanie didn't want her sister to be targeted by something strange.
"As long as you can prevent Ya and Luca from seeing the tattered clothes you're wearing and get you back to your room... why don't you just wrap yourself in this black robe of Luna's and go back?" Leticia pointed to the black robe on Luna.
After meeting Luca earlier, Melanie had left her combat suit here at Leticia's place, saying that it was safer here.
Her own place might be rummaged through by her sister's friends, but hardly anyone came to Leticia's place, making it safer and more reliable.
Melanie thought for a while and finally nodded. "Okay."
The only people who had seen this black robe were that criminal from that night and those three juniors. Clearly, Luca was not any of those four people.
If she passed by wearing this black robe, it should be fine.
Seeing Melanie nod, Luna immediately handed the robe she had just taken off to Melanie.
Melanie put on the robe and asked Leticia, "Is this okay?"
"It's fine, it's good." Leticia nodded. What could be wrong with it? It was originally clothes prepared for Melanie; what kind of trouble could there be?
"Then I'm going back." Having received Leticia's affirmation, Melanie didn't think much more. "Get some rest early."
"Safe travels, I won't see you out." Leticia effectively told her to get lost.
Luna cast an apologetic look at Melanie; her Majesty was still as unforgiving with her words as ever.
Melanie didn't mind Leticia's words; after all, it would be strange if Leticia's attitude ever improved. She was already used to this kind of attitude.
Just keep playing this game, keep on pushing and pulling; anyway, they were both unemployed, so they had plenty of time to drag this out.
