Chapter 14 - Episode 14:-When Hearts Remember...What Minds Forget

Days passed…

but something between us…

refused to fade.

I kept seeing her—

in the same places…

at the same time.

Sometimes in the library…

sometimes near the campus gate…

as if fate was quietly pulling us back together.

And every time our eyes met—

there was that same pause.

That same unspoken feeling.

Like two strangers…

trying to remember something they never learned.

One afternoon…

I found her sitting alone in the library.

Sunlight fell softly across her face…

and for a moment—

it felt like nothing had changed.

Like she was still mine.

I shook my head.

No…

not anymore.

I walked past her quietly.

But just as I was about to leave—

"Wait…"

Her voice stopped me again.

I closed my eyes for a second…

then turned back.

"Yes?" I asked calmly.

She looked at me—

this time, more seriously.

"Can I ask you something?"

I nodded.

She hesitated for a moment…

then said—

"Why do I feel… calm around you?"

My heart skipped.

"Calm?" I repeated.

She nodded slowly.

"It's strange…

I don't even know you…

but when you're near…"

She paused.

"…it feels like I'm home."

Those words…

hit me harder than anything.

Because once…

she had said the exact same thing.

In another time.

In another life.

I forced a small smile.

"Maybe… it's just coincidence," I said.

She shook her head gently.

"No… it doesn't feel like that."

Silence filled the space between us.

But it wasn't empty.

It was full of something…

something neither of us could explain.

"Do you believe in… destiny?" she asked suddenly.

I looked at her.

For a moment…

I wanted to tell her everything.

About us.

About what we were.

About what we lost.

But I didn't.

"Sometimes," I said softly.

She smiled

"I think… some people are meant to meet again."

My breath caught.

Maybe she doesn't remember…

but somewhere deep inside—

she still knows.

I took a step back.

"Maybe," I said.

And turned away again.

But this time—

I didn't feel like I was losing her.

Because somehow…

even without memories—

we were finding our way back.
